This turned out to be a great purchase. I was able to assemble it myself. It’s very sturdy and very quiet. I don’t hear any squeaking or clunking noises like my under the desk elliptical. I don’t have a ton of space but it isn’t too big for the corner of my room that I have it in. There’s plenty of preset options to get a great workout.     • It was a struggle but it's a winner

I received my FS3.0 elliptical the last week of February. Unpacked everything and parts were missing. I called customer service, very friendly. They told me they would have the new parts sent same day. I called a week later after not receiving the parts and the guy I spoke to said it was not sent out but that he would get it sent that same day. Another week passes, no parts. The third time I called the guy told me that they had to order new parts and it's stuck at the border. They don't know how long it will take. It's now April 9th... No parts.... Not assembled so I can't speak on how it works. It all LOOKS nice sitting on my bedroom floor. I will update after I have an assembled elliptical. UPDATE I forgot to update this earlier... But I received the parts around end of April I believe. The instructions were very confusing so I called to see if I could get it assembled. It was another company that did the assembling. But they were booked for WEEKS and we're gonna charge $180. So I assembled it myself. The instructions were confusing and not very accurate to my machine. Some pieces it told me to assemble but came assembled. I put something together wrong, broke it and the company sent me a replacement with no questions asked. I now have a full working elliptical. It is very nice and smooth. Not very loud, som times some very small clinking from the arms but it's nothing concerning. I really like this machine! ... show more

    • Great workout and easy on the joints

Here is a very helpful tip regarding this or perhaps any elliptical you purchase.....use LOCTITE BLUE when you assemble it. The package will actually say loctite blue. It helps keep nuts/bolts from vibrating loose with use. I would also highly recommend taking the side panel off and tightening the J bolt that holds the belt in place. That's what screwed me up when I first got it. Got everything put together (easy as pie) and then after about 10 minutes it went kerplunk. Of course there's no service manual and it says not to service yourself or you void the warranty. I called the service dept and they said, the warranty doesn't cover labor so you're on your own. They sent the standard parts. What happened was the belt slipped off. Not having a clue about belt/pulley systems I wasn't sure how it should go back on. Thankfully I got a service tech who emailed a picture of the belt system. Again once I had that.....easy as pie.....the only help I needed was from a male friend weighing about 180lbs to step on the tension arm while I guided the J bolt into the hole. Freaking tight belt! What I believe happened is after being transported/moved who knows how many times before I got it, the J bolt came loose. Once I started using it, the bolt slipped and the belt came off. While this was a hassle I was happy to now know how things work and I received spare parts in case the belt, after time breaks. You know how that works....a day after the warranty expires things break. Well now I have the parts on hand if they do. ... show more

This little machine will give you one heck of a workout. The stride is somewhat shorter than that of an elliptical at the gym, but you can't beat the convenience of having an elliptical in your home. Also the tension is pretty high even on the lowest setting. It took a little while to work up to it. It does make noise, but it's nothing my music and headphones can't block out, and it's not loud enough to annoy the duplex neighbors. As far as putting it together. The instructions aren't the most clear in the world, but it's pretty well common sense. I was able to put it completely together in about an hour. All the tools needed are included in the packaging which was nice. All of the moving parts are already lubricated, but after reading the reviews I went ahead and added a bit more lubrication to the mix to eliminate the need to take it apart later. Very happy with this purchase. If you are looking for a space saving elliptical that packs a killer workout this is the one for you! ... show more

I spent about 3 hours comparing different elliptical machines priced from 250.00 to 500.00. I did not want to go super cheap, but can't afford more than 500.00 or so. I am so glad I took the time to compare machines. I am extremely pleased with this purchase! The machine is very sturdy and heavy duty and it runs smoothly and soundlessly. It took my husband about 2 hours to put together. I live in Phoenix AZ and it is so hot here in the summer, so it is very convenient to just hop on for a good workout while watching TV! No need to exercise in 110 degree heat. I have only owned the elliptical for a month, but so far it is great!! ... show more

For the amount of money you are spending this is a sturdy solid machine. I am about 5'9" 240lbs and this machine does not wobble at all. it is a pretty solid piece of equipment. I got the 22.5 lb wheel. this thing gives me a better workout then the life fitness machine I was using at planet fitness. no bs. the only problem I experienced was that it started squeak like crazy so I wd 40 that sucker where the handle bar is. the beauty of it I have had it for about a month and I have dropped 10lbs on it. trust me do not have any doubts its a bad a$$$$$$$ machine. even if it breaks on me after a year who cares I spent 300 bucks on it that is 25 bucks a month lol. on the real though this is a tight machine and well worth the money. it is built to last. I am very impressed by xterra. ohhh also be very very very careful with the electronic monitor the wires are very thin. if that goes the machine might as well be useless. good luck all ... show more
