Yes as some have said this is not really the material to make it a true safe and it is not super heavy. But, if you are either willing to bolt it down or you are just looking for something to prevent easy access this is great. Well made, stores finger prints and new master code easily, works every time I try to access it and quickly. It also comes with two backup keys. The only odd thing really is that the keypad is only 1 through 7 so you have to get creative if you want a certain code. LOL They really should have just added three more buttons. I also didn't like the built in rack. It works but with full sized pistols it sags a bit. Plus it can only be mounted on the bottom of the shelf so it makes the guns take a lot more of the room than needed. I have two hand guns and a couple thousand rounds of ammo in mine. It all fits nicely with a little extra ammo room and room on the after market holder for another handgun. :) ... show more

This safe has provided our peace of mind! It was a much needed impetus to organize and safeguard legal documents, secure medication, and house irreplaceable jewelry. After bolting it in place, we added a fireproof document pouch for added security. The biometrics on this safe are consistent and reliable. Although, I've only registered one print so mileage may vary. I'm not a fan of mounting a firearm by placing a rod in the barrel. I'd prefer a more holster-like slot, but I understand that would take away from the overall versatility and utility. The safe feels well built, comes with hardware to secure it to the wall, and clear instructions for setup. The internal light is a nice feature as well. It's not too bright but offers enough illumination for the task. I'd recommend this for up to 4 firearms and storing other small-ish valuable. ... show more

Good quality for the price. I got the bigger one. Holds everything I need it to. The biometric scanner works great. Even reads with not so clean hands. Tried other fingers to see if it could be fooled but it can tell the difference easily. Can program a 3 to 8 number code too. Not the thickest steel and certainly won’t stop someone with a cutting wheel from getting in but not many safes will. Threw a AirTag in taped it under the mat in case it ever gets stolen and transported elsewhere to be cut open. Chose not to mount it. Probably weighs 50-60 pounds when loaded. The interior led light is nice. Not the brightest but bright enough to see what you need to in the dark. The shelf is removable but not adjustable. You either use it or lose it. Battery indicator light on the outside let’s you know how much life is left in the batteries. Comes with a usb c cord to power up the keypad if the batteries ever die and you need to get in. The keys would always work too. Packaged well and arrived undamaged. Shipping was fast. This was the first Amazon delivery in which I was emailed a code to be given to the driver on the day of delivery. I didn’t know that until I bought it so keep that in mind. I bought this as a gift for my grown son. He has a couple guns and a couple small kids in the house. I chose this one because many reviews of the briefcase style gun safes showed videos of them popping open when dropped or given a firm hit — that’s very unsettling. There is no way this safe could be so easily opened. The two thick bars lock firmly into the side wall. My son likes the biometric feature for quick access if needed. We noticed no issues with the reading of fingerprints— worked every time when it should have and did not open for unauthorized users. Money well spent for the peace of mind provided. ... show more
