Waterproof so far. I live in Phoenix and within 2 days of my install, it rained for 2 days straight. I had a brown empty box in the bed and two rolls of paper towels- strategically placed under the panel joints. Kept it outside and never saw water inside and neither towels nor boxes were wet. Constant 2 day drizzle not hard but it was 48hrs straight of rain drizzle. It’s strong and heavy and easy to install. Tweaked it to align with tailgate and fits like a glove. Way cheaper than Truck Accessory place- and I installed within 35-40 minutes. No one helped me. Good deal! ... show more

I purchased this cover a little over a year ago - it was easy to install but unfortunately the cover has not held up very well. -About a few months ago I noticed there was an increasing amount of water coming into the bed in the center on the first fold down panel after rain. -Eventually, I noticed a spot on the under side where a crack had formed and now not only water comes through but also rusty looking chunks of debris. While the corners of the seams look like theyre leaking, water does not seem to be coming in through the folding seams or the edges where it connects to the rails... but the center of the board section. The top does seem sun burned or something on the finish- so im not sure if that's where the waters coming in from. **For the $600 I paid for the cover, you would expect it to last more than a year. I know the description mentions a 5 year warranty for the cover, I'm just not sure if this would be replaceable or not - I will try and reach out to Xcover and see what my options are. VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV *****UPDATE! - Xcover reached out to me for more information about the issue and then offered to replace the cover for free and it arrived 3 days later! The third panel closest to the tailgate has rusted through... again. I originally purchased the cover in August of 2020 and X Cover replaced the whole thing for free the first time. It has now happened again the exact same way despite my efforts to keep the cover well protected and waterproof. It is only the one panel, not the other two, so I'm guessing there is a manufacturing defect. I hope this review gets X Cover's attention. Otherwise, I love this cover. It would be perfect but for the rust issue. Update: I was able to find and contact the company. They sent another replacement cover at no cost. They have remained silent about the defect and have offered no suggestions to prevent the problem from happening again. I guess I will post another update in a year and half.... ... show more

Great product and looks good. I like the low profile and it locks down so when the tailgate is closed you can't open this cover. Only the 2 sections of this 3 part cover closest to the tailgate fold open. The last third does not fold up against the rear window as other brands do but it is designed to have the whole cover come off if you need the whole truck bed open. I installed it myself and no problem except when you have to lift the cover into the bed of the truck. Its pretty heavy by yourself and 2 people would make it easier. The directions are well done. So far no leaks driving in a moderate rain at 65 mph. I do have water leak in going through the carwash but to be expected and not bad as the photo shows. It seem to only come in from the tailgate not along the sides or front of the bed. It seems to be well made with good materials. I've only had installed for 6 weeks but would highly recommend it so far. ... show more

I purchased mine in August 2021. It was great at first. It was easy to install and looked great. However, it started rusting after 3 months. I removed it and placed it in storage for a while. But one panel is rusted through and the cover is useless as is. Be sure to keep any warranty info in case this happens to you. ... show more
