We bought this crate to use on a trip. It was so easy to assemble and my medium size dog had plenty of room to move around. Also, it folds flat and has a convenient handle to carry it with. We would definetly recommend this crate, especially for travelling.

This crate is excellent. Easy to assemble. It has three zippered access panels, making it easy for pets to enter on their own or to be lifted and put in through the top. It is light weight and easy to carry. Much better than hard-shell crates. I'm very glad I bought it!

    • Disappointing changes from older version
About a year ago we purchased one of these for our cat. Since it worked well for traveling, we bought another for a recently acquired cat. Both cats are adults, but the female doesn't like the male, so separate quarters. Besides the significant price increase, changes were made to the design of the carrier. The old carrier has a floor pad, but not the new carrier. The new carrier does not have a ventilated top, and one end is now covered by a pocket. The old carrier has handles for easier carrying. It's a good size though. It seems to be sturdily constructed, although we haven't used it enough to stress it. It folds easily for storage and is thin when folded. ... show more

Used this to take our dog camping. It was great and easy to pack. However the second day hey chewed through the mesh. I think he was trying to get the velcro that is sewn to the mesh. He also tore through the canvas scratching at it. Now, is he 11 months old so still a puppy, but I was really hoping that this would survive a little longer. My dog sleeps in it every night. She loves it. From the first night we put her in there (we added a nice pillow for her and a plush soft dog with a heartbeat) she went right to sleep. We’ve never had a dog who didn’t cry for at least a few nights at first. But our dog loves her crate. My wife says bc it’s very cozy and she feels safe. Whatever it is, for sure this was a great buy! During the day we leave the mesh “door “ open so she can go in & out if she wants... but she really only goes in when it’s bedtime. As soon as we go to bed she goes right in on her own. During the day she has 5 other dog beds to choose from, plus a beautiful indoor dog house, a pouf and a royal Louis XIV child’s chair. So we actually like that uses the crate solely for bedtime.
