She can escape out of anything and cannot get out of this cage. My big guys is a Dane. He is not full grown yet but I feel this cage will be sufficient for his size. Otis is the best escape artist I've ever known. He has EXTREME separation anxiety. I rescued him back in December. His first cage was the typical wire cage which, I THOUGHT, was heavy-duty and sturdy and well-made (which, it was) but I had no idea what Otis was capable of! He completely destroyed the plastic tray at the bottom of the first cage. I was at my wits end with all his escaping and destroying. I came across this indestructible cage, and I read the reviews. Some of them did concern me in that some dogs have still gotten out of this cage and also hurt themselves in the process. But I was so desperate to try to make things work, I ordered it. Once it arrived and I unpacked it, I was a bit confused with it; however, the instructions were good, and I was able to get it put together within 30 minutes. I was impressed with how heavy duty it seemed, and I thought, there's no way he's getting out of this. But I still had my doubts due to some of the reviews and because I know how determined Otis is and how aggressive he is with chewing and destroying things when I'm not there. The next morning, I put him in it and locked it, praying he wouldn't somehow bust through it. When I got home, the apartment was clean, and he was still in the cage! If I'd had champagne, I'd have popped the top and celebrated! Even though it seemed to work the one day, I was still slightly doubtful because it had only been one day. Then, one day turned into a week without any escapes. Now it's been nearly a month, and he WILLINGLY goes in! I think his go-to was/is digging his way out through the bottom. Well, he can't do that with this cage because of how it's designed and because I reinforced it with zip ties which were provided with the cage. And he's tried. Oh, he's tried. I know because there were times his bed was scrunched back from digging. Also, I appreciate the wheels very much! I almost didn't install them because I figured I could slide the cage on the carpet; however, I ended up installing them and was glad I did because it glides across the carpet with ease if I need to move it. While the wheels make it easy to maneuver the cage, the cage is heavy enough that the dog can't move it. (He'd moved his wire cage from point A to point B in escaping). Otis isn't as reluctant and doesn't seem as anxious to get into this cage. Today, I didn't even have to guide him by the collar to get inside. I'm not entirely sure why this is but I'm thankful. Sometimes he'll get all the way in for a couple of seconds and then walk back out while I'm at home, and he didn't do that with his first cage. I'd tried everything I could. He destroyed his first cage. He destroyed the bathroom door and other things in the bathroom when I had to keep him in there during the transition from his first cage to this cage. No matter how bare I left the bathroom, he always found something to destroy. And if there was any way he could escape, he'd do it and create mass destruction. This cage saved my sanity and my dog from being rehomed where he most likely would have ended up back at the pound. TL;DR: Pros: *Extremely sturdy *Solid *Smart design (particularly regarding the bottom of the cage) *Easy to set up *Wheels make it easy to maneuver cage *Excellent for my dog who is an expert escape artist, an aggressive chewer, and leaves mass destruction upon escaping---HE CAN'T ESCAPE THIS ONE! This crate is top of the line! I highly recommend it! The quality is amazing, and most importantly, our pup can not get out (previously she could get out of every crate we left her in). We don't have her in there for long hours, but it is necessary to crate her when we aren't home because she chews things and has "accidents" - stuff we don't want going on. So the crate keeps her safe, and are home clean, when we have to leave. Our dog is little. 10lbs, I got the smallest crate size and she still has tons of room. Photo shows my toddler standing next to the crate. Our dog did get out the first day we left her but that is because she was able to slide the metal bottom out and squeeze through the space. It's amazing she didn't get hurt. The solution was to use way more zip ties!!!! Get many and put them all around the metal base. I also put the plastic tray inside the crate so she doesn't have to sit on the metal parts. Overall it is definitely worth the money and a fantastic purchase. ... show more

The grate bottom design is lacking. I have put the catch tray over the grate with a cheap small blanket in between for noise. This also doesn’t allow space for digging or eating the zip ties. This is the greatest negative for this crate. I plan on cutting 3/4” plywood with a cleanable surface coating to hold instead of the grate. I use this to contain my BelMal and it seems very secure. I love how strong and sturdy this seems. For the price and future modifications I need to do for the bottom, it seems great for the price. Product came on time and in perfect shape, easy to assemble, note you will have to undo nuts and bolts to collapse. It is very heavy, but very easy to assemble and great looking. There have been complaints about the wheels and I can see that, although they’re easily replaceable, with the right threads and size. I would just remove and apply whatever slidable attachments needed for your flooring. I purchased a cover for it that fits perfectly and this has become a cozy den for my pup. Other dog likes it so much I feel bad. Overall, this is suiting my current needs, looks nice and is affordable, enough I won’t feel bad if I need to upgrade. Also, it’s so big I can sit in it with my dog! Update! I LOVE THIS CRATE!!!! I haven’t had to add anything new, my reverse install on the bottom is holding up. She had an accident and it was easier to clean, I would have had to clean the grates and tray. My mal has figured out how to pick at least one lock. It’s hilarious to watch, but can easily change or be aware. Getting another one! Hate the shipping charge. ... show more

the package arrived today, it was easy to assemble and better quality than i expected. our dog’s previous cage had him hunched over and he looked miserable. he has plenty of room now. being on wheels is very convenient as is the ability to open the top lid , it’s very sturdy.

I was looking for a cage but wanted to make sure my Doodle has enough room. I love that my dog has space to move around and lounge as he pleases whenever he's in that. The cage didn't take long to set up. It was about maybe 2 hours and I'm not handy so it may be a shorter time for someone else. It is durable, has thick bars. My con is that it's not necessarily aesthetically pleasing but definitely worth the money. Great buy. ... show more
