The grate bottom design is lacking. I have put the catch tray over the grate with a cheap small blanket in between for noise. This also doesn’t allow space for digging or eating the zip ties. This is the greatest negative for this crate. I plan on cutting 3/4” plywood with a cleanable surface coating to hold instead of the grate. I use this to contain my BelMal and it seems very secure. I love how strong and sturdy this seems. For the price and future modifications I need to do for the bottom, it seems great for the price. Product came on time and in perfect shape, easy to assemble, note you will have to undo nuts and bolts to collapse. It is very heavy, but very easy to assemble and great looking. There have been complaints about the wheels and I can see that, although they’re easily replaceable, with the right threads and size. I would just remove and apply whatever slidable attachments needed for your flooring. I purchased a cover for it that fits perfectly and this has become a cozy den for my pup. Other dog likes it so much I feel bad. Overall, this is suiting my current needs, looks nice and is affordable, enough I won’t feel bad if I need to upgrade. Also, it’s so big I can sit in it with my dog! Update! I LOVE THIS CRATE!!!! I haven’t had to add anything new, my reverse install on the bottom is holding up. She had an accident and it was easier to clean, I would have had to clean the grates and tray. My mal has figured out how to pick at least one lock. It’s hilarious to watch, but can easily change or be aware. Getting another one! Hate the shipping charge. ... show more

    • Very heavy, easy assembly

Quality and stability are unmatched. Very easy to put together and the wheels make it easy to move around. Very sturdy walls. Definitely worth the money! I purchased two & we assembled (2 ppl) in 30 mins. Update* 08/20/2024. Both cages are still in great shape however one of them clearly wasn’t put together as great as the other. Several factory parts are loosening up or have broke. We have to go around the crate every day and tighten things up as best we can. I still wouldn’t trade these for any other, but just be mindful that there is a lot of parts you’ll put on and even more that are factory done. Keep an eye on them just in case it’s faulty like ours. Dogs are still really comfortable & it’s easy to move them around to vacuum and such BUT BE AWARE these are not quickly disassembled like a basic crate. You have to unscrew 3/4 walls and take the top off. These are also very heavy & the large ones are too wide for a standard door so room to room movement is impossible without disassembly. ... show more

I was very hesitant to crate him as I was afraid that he would hurt himself trying to get out. This crate has been excellent. It was easy to set up. Size is perfect (90lb bully mix). We almost returned these because we had decided not to crate train our pups, but I am SO glad we changed our minds! Let’s start with how easy it was to put them together. We got home from our vacation and figured we’d start the next day, but when our house/petsitter told us he’d had our 1-year-old Pitt mix sleeping in the garage and our 10-week-old blue heeler/german shepherd mix caged into a room by himself, we decided that we may as well start before they got a chance to sleep in our bed again. I REALLY didn’t want to try to assemble this thing after 2 days of driving, but I dragged the super heavy box into the living room and got started. I think it took me half an hour to assemble the first one, including the time it took me to look at the instructions and to fix the wheels when I realized I’d put one of the front wheels on the back. The walls come connected on 3 sides with the bottom on one side, so you just have to unfold them and connect the 2 sides and the bottom. I thought the top was going to be a lot harder to put on, but again, I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, it took me less than an hour to fully assemble both crates, despite how tired I was. Next, these things are both SERIOUSLY heavy duty! My pittie is a chewer, so one on my biggest concerns was that he would tear up his face trying to chew his way out of the crate, which is an experience we had with another dog and another “heavy duty” crate. There is NO WAY my dog could chew through these bars! Granted, it does look like I’ve got 2 mobile prison crates in my yard, but it’s worth it to know my pup isn’t going to tear up his face. Finally, the size is perfect! My pitt is about 80 lbs, and he’s got room to spare. There is plenty of room for him to move around and eat, even when we put his huge bed inside. When my kids asked what they were, I joked that they were their new beds, and we all had a good laugh, but then they spent most of the next day playing in the crates! It’s been a couple of weeks, and I find the kids chilling in the crates while they watch their tablets and cuddle with the dogs. A few days in, I thought we had a problem when my daughter shouted to me that the dog had taken off the door. I was like, okay, here we go… But when I looked at the door, I realized that they actually come off by design, and it was pretty easy to slide them back onto the hinge. The door and the top are easy to open, but you do have to make sure the locks are lined up properly when you close them and sometimes have to push a bit harder. At the same time, I don’t think my dogs would be able to open them from the inside - not even my pitt who knows how to open baby gates… Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, and I have already sent the link to a friend who came over and really liked them. This is a God sent, My Brutus is a st Bernard who can be a pain to others that don't like droll and hair all over them. We cage trained him and he goes rate to cage when someone comes to visit. This cage was stronger than I expected. This cage was easier to put together It was perfect size for dogs over 100 pounds. Brutus is 160 pounds and that is his cage he don't like other animals near it. Sometimes he goes into it just to lie down. Great investment worth the money I spent. Thank you ... show more
