This dog crate is a strong, sturdy, and effective. I would highly recommend it. But it’s HUGH. I overshot my need and bought the largest crate (48”), and it was way too big. I have a Lab/Pit Bull mix who weighs around 70 pounds and stands about 30 inches tall. I likely needed the next one down. I would also caution that the pitched roof housing on top is tall and thus add to the enormity of the footprint. You will want to make a large, allocated space so that it does not dwarf your furniture. I returned the crate with a pickup at my home for about $13. Very reasonable and worth the convenience. No complaints about the crate - just the guy ordering it! ... show more

I needed a heavy duty crate for My 2 year old German Shepherd. Her back was nearly reaching the top of her old pet gear crate. Durability was important and height. The size was perfect but the look of the locks worried me. Took me 2 months to decide. Took the chance and I’m more than satisfied. This is a huge cage, super durable, and the locks are strong. Ivy senses the durability and does not try to bust out. She goes in with no problem. This is a huge box. It is heavy but easy assemble. Did it on my own. No missing hardware, no imperfections, and no holes that didn’t line up. If your hesitation is possible flimsy locks from the photos, put it to bed. No buyers remorse here. Great crate. ... show more

This cage is amazing and exactly what we needed. Tall and sturdy enough for our 150+ pound Akita. We took the trays out once he quit having accidents as a puppy. I will say though I love the design of the trays being on the outside. He enjoys the air that comes through it and chooses to go in his cage on his own for comfort. The cage is easy to clean as you can roll it outside and spray it off with a hose. I highly recommend it if your dog has anxiety in the cage as well because they can’t get out and or hurt themselves in the process. ... show more

This is *not* the typical imported junk that we all know and hate: it is well engineered, well-manufactured, with good weld & paint quality, good hardware, and it arrived intact. Even the casters are decent - not the throw-away quality that is so common. All the parts were present, and fit / work as intended. The tilting "roof" door folds back easily and stays open. Some of the door latches are a little stiff, but certainly not a problem. You have to read between the lines on the instructions, but again, not a problem. The crate is great in terms of size. My Rottweiler can fit inside along w/ three kids who like to play inside. However the flooring isn’t adequate for a dog with larger paws. My pooch gets her paws stuck in the flooring and her legs caught between the flooring & walls. I think the gaps should be smaller all around ... show more

This thing is massive, and certainly seems pretty heavy duty! We got it for our 65 lb 6 months old Great Pyrenees who destroyed his other wire crate :( so far, he seems to be doing a little better with this one, no damage, and I think it helps that he has some more headroom since he is a tall boy. This thing really is huge though! My only minor issues at this point are that one of the bolts missed getting welded on for the lock on the skylight (see photo) -- seems like it should be ok since he isn't going for the top to escape. The other is that the locks seem a little flimsy, though I will give them the benefit of the doubt untill proven otherwise. Last thing is I do worry about his comfort. Ours came with 2 different pans instead of the 1 I expected, so I couldn't put it inside to give him a flat surface instead of being directly on the bars (not as worried about accidents as him actually relaxing at some point while being in there...), so with the bars on the bottom being elevated off of the tray, I would say you should definitely consider a bed to add some padding and comfort if you can. I just can't imagine leaving him to lay on the bars with nothing else, even though they are thicker. Otherwise, it arrived quickly, was simple enough to assemble, and the wheels do make it easy to move around, while also locking pretty securely in place too. So far I'm happy with the purchase and hope it makes things a little easier with our large, growing puppy! ... show more
