I do a lot of wood working for fun projects at home and I build obstacles for horse training. I was toggling between a jig saw to cut shapes and my skil saw to cut longer straighter edges from plywood and to cut through lumber. I saw the rotorazer and thought that was what I needed but didn't pull the trigger because of the price. After more research I came across this handy little saw and found it a better fit for me because of the light weight and the smaller grip. After looking at all the reviews I ordered it and haven't looked back! This is a great tool and exactly what I needed, fits smaller hands, cuts through 2x4 posts without much slowing down, and it's easy to operate with one hand. Absolutely love it. I'm so glad I didn't go with the rotorazer that is way heavier and larger than this Worx saw which is plenty for what I do and a great value for the price. ... show more

This is a good Saw. I can control it better than a Circular saw. Not really heavy. Does a good cutting job. Cuts 2x4 lumber in 1 passing, just adjust it for that thickness.

    • Great little saw, excellent ergonomics - Impressive
Style: Circular Saw Cordless
Very impressed. Super lightweight and great handle feel and safety switch positioning (a huge fail on so many of these little saws). Plenty of power. Barely enough depth to cut a 2x4, but it does and does so effortlessly. Originally I bought one of the off brand models from amazon, but sent it back. It was inferior in every way, especially ergonomics. A huge handle that was too big (and i have large hands), poorly placed safety switch, and mediocre power and operation. Poor ergonomics = dangerous to use. No good. I bought the similar Skil model at the same time I bought the Worx expecting i could make good use of two saws for different purposes. The skil seemed well made, but was defective. Motor seized up after a couple cuts. I believe this to be a one off issue, but a concern none the less. So, wasn't able to actually use it, but in comparison to the Worx, the Worx was the better saw in terms of size, definitely smaller, weight, noticeably lighter, and ergonomics. The Skil handle shape is good, very small, but fine, but the safety switch placement is less than ideal but not terrible. Not nearly as seamless to use as the Worx. So, it got sent back but it was validation for me the worx was the best choice. The Skil might have been more powerful had it worked because of a slightly larger motor, not sure but the priority for me was size, ergonomics, and effectiveness. I use it for cutting siding doing window replacement and misc use and it's excellent. If i need more, I'll use a full size circular saw but this little guy is the go to for most tasks. ... show more

I think mine was a previous return, because it didn't come with instructions or the Allen wrench. Grr. I thought I had it set up right, but it went half an inch into the 1"x8" and stopped dead. After trying a few more times, and then swearing for a while, I remembered that this saw actually has good ratings. So I came inside to google if there's a torque knob or something. So here's what I learned: If you're not getting enough power, the blade probably isn't tight enough. Luckily, I have a set of Allen wrenches (thanks, Dad). When you tighten the screw through the blade, press and *hold* the red button on the back of the saw, which will lock the apparatus in place. It's lefty-tighty, right-loosey for some reason (the opposite of normal) so hold the red button and tighten the screw to the left with the Allen wrench until it's really locked on. Presuming I'm talking mostly to other women, here, who aren't going to go nuts and crack anything. Don't go all Hulk Torque! on it, but you want it to be tight enough to really hold the blade. After I got that fixed, it worked beautifully. (And if the instructions had been included in the box, I probably wouldn't have needed help.) I'm doing repairs outside, and it's sooooo much faster than a hand saw, especially with 8" wide boards in the Florida summer heat. Perfect weight, too. Not sure how I lived without it. ... show more

Have only used a couple of times but so far, so good. Very easy to change blades and looks/feels like quality construction. The couple of times I used, it cut thru 1" oak and 2x4s with ease.

This is a great tool for a woman afraid of power tools. It is small, not nearly as heavy as a circular saw, and has good attachments. There are, however, no actual directions. There are some pictures, and a list of parts in many different languages, but no words about how to make it work. I wanted to use it myself, but was having trouble getting through a 2x4 (it was getting "stuck") so my husband tried it and thought the blade might be loose, which it was. I would never have known how to lock the blade and get it tighter without his help. I now look around for things I can cut, but written directions would have been great. ... show more

It is a nice product and it works properly. But the company did not include the Parallel Guide Clamping Fixture in the box. This part is missing. It might happen to the one I purchased only, I have no knowledge.
