WORX WG505 TRIVAC 12 Amp 3-In-1 Electric Blower/Mulcher/VacuumClearing your lawn of leaves and debris just got a whole lot easier. The TRIVAC 3-in-1 Blower / Yard Vacuum / Mulcher blows out 80-210 mph of airflow with 350 CFM of air volume. That’s a lot of power that also switches into a vacuum to clear your lawn of leaves. Then, when you’re ready for collection, the TRIVAC turns into a mulcher, employing its sturdy metal impeller to chop leaves down at a 16:1 ratio. And the attachable collection bag holds 1.2 bushels of those mulched leaves. • Very heavy but VERY powerful
Style: 3-in-1 Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum
If you want an all-in-one blower, mulcher and suction, this is the one. Although I believe there may be a newer model which is lighter, and I believe cordless. This works great at blowing the dust off my patio furniture or getting those stuck in corner leaves, and the mulching function did not break even when the occasional rock or wood chip or small branch was sucked up. Works great but is a little heavy so be warned. I would give 5 stars if not for that weight..but I guess that is a sign that is for heavy duty work ... show more

  • Real Review From A Real Purchaser
Style: 3-in-1 Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum
Okay first off I'm not compensated in any way to write reviews. I'm not given any free products. I'm just a guy who was sitting on his couch not looking forward to a huge leaf raking job that I needed to do when this infomercial came on the TV. And I thought. . . .this might make my life a bit easier. So i purchased this Trivac. I have been a mechanical engineer for 20 years so I'm mechanical inclined but not a pro tool reviewer by any means. It's an okay purchase. Not great, but okay. It does everything it's suppose to do. It came in today and I put it to work right away. Took me 2 minutes to assemble and I was ready to go. So here's what I found 1. The blower works like any other leaf blower. Not stronger, just average. Check the power setting when it arrives as the blower power is adjustable. It arrives at the lowest setting. People who are claiming the blower is terrible probably did not switch it from the low power to full power. It works decent. 2. The vacuum setting works a little better than I expected. But again, average, not great. It will easily pick up leaves, both dry and wet. and small twigs no problem. I had piles of leaves along the fence that had been there for weeks and were a bit damp. Picked them up no problem. Took some time, but picked them up. Takes a lot of back and forth motion to keep the leaves flowing and to keep the vacuum from clogging. IT WILL CLOG PERIODICALLY. There's no getting past this. The mulching function is non existent almost. Mostly full sized battered up leaves in the bag. Nowhere near the finely mulched look of the infomercial. 3. This thing is TOUGH. I did a big no no and that was to vacuum leaves straight out of my flower bed with mulch. And I'm talking fairly good sized mulch that caused the the rotary blade to jam several times I'm talking a full on jam that caused the motor to smoke a few times. From the time it jammed to the time I was able to turn off the motor was maybe 2-3 seconds. Enough for a little smoke to come out of the vents. Each time a piece of mulch was stuck between the blade and side wall. Jammed tight and it took a screwdriver to unlodge it. It cranked back up every time no problem. I don't recommend vacuuming over mulch but it fought through decent size twigs and piece of mulch with a few jams. There's a distinct difference in the sound of a leaf jam and a propeller jam. A leaf jam simply creates a higher pitch sound, a propeller jam is a hard motor jam and loud. Don't panic. Just turn it off and clear the jam. TRICKS Everyone is saying how the leaf jam is pretty frequent and annoying that they have to disassemble the Trivac to clear the jam each time. What I found was that if i got a leaf jam, I simply switched from vacuum to blower and back to vacuum and 9 times out of 10 it cleared the jam each time. Try this first before turning it off and disassembling to clear a leaf jam. TRY THIS METHOD FOR LEAF JAMS ONLY. FOR A PROPELLER JAM TURN THE TRIVAC OFF AND UNPLUG TO CLEAR THE JAM While the blower is okay and not great, i found a work around to get stronger blow force. I simply removed the bag and switched to vacuum and the positive air flow coming out of the bag port was maybe 5x stronger than the blower port. So I used that method to blow my leaves into piles. Worked like a champ. Not it's intended purpose but it worked great. In closing, honestly, if you have a mulching mower and a leaf blower, you don't need this item. It's simply not as efficient as a mower and blower. It works okay and will make the chore of raking and picking up leaves and mowing debris a bit easier. But it's not something I would say is the best in it's category. But for the price, it's well worth it. ... show more

  • Reasonable performance at a good price
Style: 3-in-1 Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum
This is my first new leaf blower/vac after many years of using the Craftsman brand - those older models were around $100 bucks, and I picked this WORX unit (WG505) up for around $60. How do they compare? Well, immediately I'm liking the ergonomics of this WORX vac - it's lighter than my old Craftsman, yet it has about the same amount of power. It's a cinch to change from vac to blower - you just have to flip a lever. No more tube flipping! I don't know if this is a common feature nowadays, but it's VERY convenient! The collection bag is a bit smaller than on the Craftsman, but it seems better made overall - the one thing that always failed was the ridiculously tiny zippers on the Craftsman bags. The zipper on the WORX is much more robust, and feels like it will be dependable much longer. One thing I don't care for is that the impeller access button is very close to the on/off switch. If you're not paying attention, you can press the wrong one. Plus, while it's good to be able to get at the impeller so easily to clear any jams, you'll want to make absolutely sure you unplug the tool before you do so. Performance? About the same as my old Craftsman blower, although I think the compacting ratio on the Craftsman is better. Still, I like that I can use the blower feature on the WORX to herd the leaves together (not in big heaps), then easily switch to the vacuum function to pick them up. If you have a small to medium size lot with a couple of trees that just shed leaves, this should do a reasonable job. I wouldn't use it to try to pick up pine cones or to clean a large area that has many trees. Overall, for what I paid for it, thumbs up! :) ... show more

This works very well and has a TON of pressure in either direction. I'm definitely happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone.

  • Leaf vacuum really works!
Style: 3-in-1 Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum
I only really bought this to use as a leaf vacuum, so I can’t get into anything else it’s supposed to do. It really works pretty well! Turns a yard of leaves into finely mulched pieces that easily fit into lawn bags. Saved me a ton of work and was very helpful. The reason it gets 4 stars is it isn’t the most comfortable to use long term. It had to be at a certain angle to really work well, and the bag on your shoulder helps but it does get heavy and in my case very dusty thanks to my yard that barely grows grass. But the important thing is, it works! One time I sucked a thick stick into it and it stopped the fan blades and it stopped working. But I unplugged it and cleared it out and it kept going strong! So I would say it’s built pretty well! ... show more
