I purchased this to replace my old burned-out heat exchanger. This fan was easy to strap to the flue pipe and works great at transferring that otherwise lost heat out into the room. My husband and I think we will probably get one or two more to help move even more heat. We even like the free pipe thermometer. This product was easy to install, it is quiet and works well. I was considering purchasing another one and would recommend it. Very rarely it doesn’t work when it hits the temperature it needs, but in that case if you give it a tiny push clockwise it works.

This is a small but mighty addition to my heating plan for my home. I have a wood furnace in my basement which sends heat through the old oil system's ductwork. This little fan uses the heat that I used to lose from the chimney connection pipe to move warm air around my basement. I love the efficiency and the fact that it will still be working when the power goes out. I'm very pleased. Also - this could not be simpler to install. Super quiet. Works great. Smaller than I thought but should have read size better lol. Pushes air a bit, maybe 2 or 3 ft, not as much as I had thought. Very easy to install, just clamp on, came with 2 clamps.

Bad product. Does not displace air properly. Bought two thinking it would even it out. No the fan is dinky. You have better air displacement waving a piece of paper yes I said that correctly. Do not waste your money on this product. The thermometer is also not accurate. Off by 100 degrees when I tested the heat from the pipe with a heat gun. ... show more

this is such a cool product . i catch myself just watch it all the time .i found out when it starts to slow down its time to add more wood go figture .. its also very interesting how it converts heat to real electricity. i am going to order couple more of this style and the free standing well good luck have fun be safe ... show more
