Seem as well made as any other bamboo cutting boards. Treated with food grade mineral oil before use and they are knife friendly. I don't cut any meat on them, so don't know if they would soak in meat juices or not, but they clean up easily after fruits/vegetables are cut on them. Great matching bamboo set of cutting boards and each with a gutter for tomato juice and that sort of thing when chopping. Ideally, this would have the smallest one, the largest one - and I would have wished for an even larger one as well - not the medium sized one in this set. It's a strange size which I don't have a use for. I'm either prepping one tomato - or a while board full of things.
