The colander part of this unit is great. It is large and seems well made. The knives are ok. If you were not in your regular kitchen and wanted something to haul on a hiking or camping trip, then the knives would at least be available for use. The cutting blade inserts are mediocre. I ended up returning the unit because the flat straight blade was totally unusable on the unit I received. The plastic piece around it was slightly malformed therefore causing the blade to be lower than the plastic which meant food would slide right over the blade. The other blade inserts seemed ok, but I did not use them. I would not recommend buying this if you are planning on using the blades frequently. ... show more

The larger chef knife is good and nice to have shredders and board while camp cooking and drainer. Negatives was tiny knife got lost due to not clipping in well. Also could weigh less?
