The only issue I had was they looked a little on the dried out side. I saw multiple reviews suggesting that they don't need board oil, or because they are bamboo they won't accept board treatments. I use my bamboo cutting boards every day, they are attractive and sturdy. I like the thick, chunky feel of them and they take up minimal room on my counter; love the holder it comes with. They were not expensive, very happy with my purchase.
