I had such high hopes with this as I am at my wits end trying to get rid of these gnats. From ACV (which they just used to drink and fly back out of) to sticky fly traps(that my son ended up witnessing them mating on) nothing was working. So when getting this light I just knew it would work. Well I guess I must have super gnats bc the damn things would even sit on the sticky pad and fly away. maybe it'll work somewhere else that doesn't have super bugs lol The light is nice and bright and there is no odor so I guess that's only plus I can give. ... show more

I HAVE A BIG ISSUE WITH GNATS AND TINY BUGS IN MY KITCHEN AND I WAS HOPING THIS WOULD BE A BETTER OPTION THEN SPRAYING BUG SPRAY, HOWEVER IT FITS SO CLOSE TO THE PLUG THAT THERE IS NOT A BIG AREA TO CAPTURE THE BUGS AND THE "BLUE" LIGHT IS NOT AS BRIGHT AS I WAS EXPECTING. I love the design as a plug in. The blue light doubles as a subtle night light. It attracts the little annoying gnats that somehow make their way into the house. Previously I was using a jar of liquid that I had to keep on the counter and although it attracted the fruit flies and gnats, I didn’t like the odor or having to deal with it on the counter or the possibility of it getting spilled. I tried everything to get rid of gnats and fruit flies to no resolve. This product really works, the blue light draws them in and they stick to the adhesive sticky stuff. It took me three days to get rid of a gnat infestation with two of these plug ins. This does not work. Purchased it for fruit flies and placed it in sveral locations to see if it would be better. Does nothing except act as a night light . Don't waste your money .

The sticky strip was very easy and simple to install. The device attracted the gnats as described. It even caught a fly! It was no brighter than a nightlight so it wasn’t distracting to your eye. Very effective and great price point.
