I wish they had plates smaller than 5.7 , so petite seniors like me could start at safer weight, I will start with back plate first, then add the front or just wear the jacket without plates as it is heavy enough and put smaller wt bars,etc. I bought other products that said one fits all but too lose for me to wear. ... show more

made like a battleship. i expect to be using this for some time. i cheeped out on the plates though. i happen to have 1/16" sheet lead and knocked out 4, approx.. 5lb. plates and they can be ergonomically molded at will. just need some good paint and I am good to go.

I have been wearing this for 3 weeks now with 2 - 6lbs plates in it. The vest is showing no signs of wear and tear, it holds the plates in place, and is very comfortable to wear. The size is very easy to adjust, I'm 6'3" 250lbs and it fights perfect. There was no break in period, the vest has been very comfortable from day 1 with no signs of rubbing or chaffing. I use this vest every week on my 5+ mile walks and its very comfortable and easy to adjust in the shoulder straps which I thought was awesome. The only thing I wish was that the plates could be inserted from the top rather than the bottom , it makes it a little awkward to put the plates in. 4 star because of the loud smell I got met with when I opened the bag it was in. It smelled like a musty basement. Almost like it had been wet then sealed up. I used spray Lysol to drown it and it worked. Overall, it appears to be built with quality. The Velcro components are super aggressive. That’s a good thing! I don’t expect this Velcro to fail anytime soon. I also bought the Wolf Tactical weight plates. They fit well and the straps on the inside keep them from shifting when I run. Overall, I’m glad I went with this carrier over the 5.11! The price is just super hard to beat with the quality that’s been put into this carrier. ... show more

I’m a bit new to the weighted vest. So far I like it. Using to ruck with heavy weight and boot camp workout with light weight. Takes a bit to swap the weights but they feel stable once in. Feels good. Had to look online on how to operate— there are lots of Velcro. Would buy again.
