    • Works fine but poor/incorrect instructions
The unit charges my phone quickly, and stays in place well. Even on a bumpy road it does not move, unlike my previous phone holder. However, the instructions are poor and not really correct. The unit I purchased included a power adapter, but the instructions said one was not included. They also specified a QC2.0/QC3.0 adapter. One jack on the adapter was labeled QC3.0; the other, 2.4A. Using the QC jack did not work properly - the phone indicated it was charging with the lightening symbol on the battery icon, but it did not charge. Using the 2.4A jack works properly, and the phone charges quickly. Also, the instructions do not say how to release the phone! There are two buttons, one on either side, that do the same thing, but the instructions only say they are used to clamp the phone. They also release it. Finally, I have an Otterbox on a Pixel 5. The Otterbox is designed to allow wireless charging, and, since it works with desktop chargers, I correctly thought it would work with this. It does. I'm pleased with the holder/charger and hope this review fills in information the instructions lack. ... show more

This is an update to my original review. After I posted this the seller reached out to me and offered to replace the defective product. The new one came very promptly and is working perfectly. So I again love the product - and the customer service! Original review below: When this works I love it. Unfortunately the auto-clamping is very erratic. Most of the time it works in reverse - closes when I start the car so I then have to use the button to open it, put in my phone, and then usually use the button to close it again. Occasionally it will open randomly and my phone will drop to the floor while I'm driving. Sometimes it won't open to release my phone - and I can't get my phone out (when it holds the phone, it holds it securely!) Unplugging it and plugging it back in works to clear it. A lot of work for an "auto" process! ... show more

After 2 weeks it will no longer hold my phone in the correct position. Most days when I entered my car I had to retighten the ball joint between the windshield mount and the phone holder. Now it cannot be tightened any further and isn't capable of holding the phone up where I can see it. It gets hot in Texas in July, and this phone holder couldn't take it. Wasted money. Also, if I tried to use Waze for directions, the charger was so weak the phone would actually lose power. I used the same cord and 5v source as always, just plugged it into the phone holder instead of the phone directly, and it just didn't do the job. ... show more

The vent attachment worked pretty well. I used that while the base plate sat for 3 days. I was trying to get it to hold. Anyways, after 4 days I switched to the dash mount....needless to say it fell right off. Disappointing. The mount itself holds phones with or without a case on it and the gap under the mount I'd perfect for a charging cord. FYI, phone will not charge with a case on it, hense the cord. If the dash mount had held, I would have given this 5 stars hands down. ... show more
