I was expecting this to be made in the USA, but box says made in china. However, it iseems very well made. Generally feels solid. All parts fit well, including all of the smoke pipe pieces. Door latch works as well as it should. Rotating front air inflow is easily manipulated. All of the components fit well inside the stove. All in all, a very well thought-out and well executed product. My only gripe is that there were a few small dents on 3 of the smoke pipe pieces that came with my stove -- not a deal breaker for me, but I wish quality control caught these and exchanged for non-dented pieces before packaging. ... show more

    • Be Warned Alaskans, Impossible to Get Accessories
Winnerwell keeps canceling my orders of accessories for this item, I suspect because I live in Alaska. There is no explanation from Winnerwell as to why the orders are being canceled right before being shipped. It looks like customer service and support is not their strongest area. If you end up needing pipe sections, etc. (and most often that's the case), and you live in Alaska or Hawaii, you might want to consider buying from someone else. ... show more

    • Winnerwell stove and equipment is top notch.
Medium stove is small, but very sturdy and well built. No regrets, but might have bought the large stove as portability isn't that important for my uses.

It is light weight, portable, and fairly sturdy paired with our bell tent was pretty nice however took some time to get a fire going altho it was wet and rainy during out camping trip however smoked out our tent a few times trying to keep it going and the chimney pipe discolored after 1 use but we rather like the look of it and in dry camping probably won't be as much of a problem also paired it with a water boiler on the back which worked great, helped to heat our tent, allowed us to cook some on it and boil water for tea, Coco, and coffee! ... show more
