  • Great product and customer service
Stove arrived looking like USPS used it as a tackling dummy, one pane of glass was broken. Contacted the seller and was promptly shipped a new replacement glass with no hassle at all. Stove itself is high quality and just plain works. Many accessories are available for it and are as quality made as well. ... show more

  • Decent purchase, but with some caveats
First, this is a well built little stove. I needed a small stove for my Kodiak Canvas Truck Tent (short bed for Toyota Tundra). Due to no stock in cheaper models, I forked out some cash to get this model. The stovepipe is of very good quality, and the build is very good. The design is okay, could be better. My biggest complaint is that the airflow adjustment in the front of the unit has very little control over oxygen flow. Oxygen flows from the removable cooking surface plate, the spacing around the 3 windows, and the door itself. Therefore, the only way you can really control your fire is with the damper. I found that there are only two options: let your fire burn with the damper near full open and your stovepipe starts glowing red and will melt your stovejack. The second option is about 15% closed which results in your fire not burning very hot and a big time creosote buildup. If the damper is closed 45%, the fire literally goes out. This stove really needs to have a cleaning brush included with it for the price. I think your average user simply won't have time to scour the landscape for hard wood. With any softwood (pine), the windows just soot over in a matter of minutes. I had to clean this off with a razor blade after the first use. In other words, the selling point of this model is just a gimmick. I also thought the support wire in the spark arrestor was a design flaw in that it makes it more difficult to clean off soot and creosote. For my tent, this thing really puts out some heat. It's honestly too much for my truck tent, and I'd say probably too much for any van or truck sized camper. I think this thing is probably best suited for a 10X10 wall tent or bigger. Another complaint is that when the fire burns down and you don't get a good airflow through the unit, smoke comes out of the removable cooking plate into your tent. I would suggest plan on sealing up the plate before the first use, unless you plan on using this thing outside your tent. There is also no lip to contain ashes. This is designed this way so you can easily remove the ashes, but after about 3-4 hours of burning, expect ashes/embers to fall out when you open the door. I am going to use some square patio bricks under it in the future. Might be a good idea to get one of those water heater pans to put under it. Overall, this is a good little stove with some minor airflow problems which could and should be fixed by the company. These airflow problems aren't really an issue when you have a large wall tent and you can keep that fire full blast. Well made, and puts out a lot of heat. I think this thing will last 20+ years. ... show more

  • Good product, Except
First time I used this stove. The latch for the door was not made correctly. Because after an hour of burning, it started to warp. Now it won't go up and down to close the door. The back of the stove, completely warped out from the heat where my water tank goes. Same, after the first burn. Kind of a bummer the glass gets a burnt look to it after awhile of using it. Other then that, it burns hot, the underbelly turned bright red, along with the pipes on the first 2. Bummer you have to buy more pipe to fit outside your tent. ... show more

  • High quality, beautiful stove! Highly recommend!
I did not buy this stove on Amazon, but i recently purchased this Woodlander Double View Large stove and I am beyond impressed! Quality is excellent. It looks beautiful. I cooked eggs and bacon on it during during our first time camping in our canvas Sibley bell tent at the end of August. It burns efficiently. I can't wait to use it this fall and winter. Highly recommend this stove for canvas tents, just make sure you are setting it up properly. Also, burn one or two fires outside before using it inside, it did burn off some residue from manufacturing that smelled strong at first. I'm glad I followed these directions. ... show more

  • Nice stove for smaller tents
I have a White Duck 16.5ft Avalon Bell tent. I just came back from a 7-day camp trip with 20-degree nights. The area I was in was mostly pine to burn, our burn time was 2hrs before having to restoke to keep at 50 degrees. I felt the stove was falling short of my needs and felt it was a combination of the wood I was burning and the size of my tent. I reached out to a stove rep and they verified that 2hr burn time was about accurate plus a harder wood would help, and they said this stove is not suited for Bell Tents. Overall I felt the stove is great I was happy with everything about it, but unfortunately its not best suited for my tent. This stove will be great with a smaller non-bell canvas tent. ... show more
