Description

Ideal for hunters, skiers and backcountry hikers traveling in the off-season or winter, the Winnerwell Fastfold Titanium Tent Stove is the first ultralight titanium tent stove with a total weight of only 4 pounds. Recommended for use in tents and shelters compatible with fire pits. Innovative Fastfold design eliminates hardware parts and parts that can be lost or searched by cold hands. Simply fold the legs, stove walls and lid and secure with the integrated clasps. The stove folds flat for compact storage and packaging while the chimney pipe rolls into a compact tube. The Winnerwell Fastfold Titanium Tent Stove includes a 3-inch diameter chimney pipe that measures 9 feet long when fully assembled. The chimney pipe consists of a single sheet of very thin titanium that rolls lengthwise for compact and widthwise storage in a pipe. The first time you put the pipe into shape can be tricky, we recommend using a PVC hose in length and asking someone to help you. However, after the first time you burn wood in the stove, the fire will heat the shape of the titanium pipe. In later uses, the fireplace will retain the memory of the shape and blend into the shape. The Winnerwell Fastfold Titanium stove also includes a damper in the door and in the lid to control air flow and combustion rate, as well as The spark arrester features connecting points for guy lines to stabilize the chimney in windy days. With the stove lid removed, this stove works great as an ultra-light titanium Firepan for river runners and backpackers traveling to wilderness areas where a firewall is required.

Lightweight stove. Have had the stove now for two winters and only used it for a few of short, 10-11 day, backpacking trips in bitter cold, rainy and snowy weather. The tepee stayed warm, and it did the job. I gave it 5 stars for sturdiness because it is really stable. It’s titanium, light weight, so it will warp a little with the heat, but so far nothing that has compromised effectiveness. It is a very good design. The pictures are from our latest trip Christmas 2021 in Michigan. My husband and I LOVE it, our dog loves it even more, and frankly I can’t imagine why we took so long to buy it; Worth every penny. Watched a lot of videos, and chose this stove because it folds out with no fidgety pieces to lose in snow during set up. This has proven to be key for set up when wearing gloves. We love that we can cook on it too. The stove gets hot enough to boil water in about 7-10 minutes. Depending on the wood we use, we would have to stoke about every half hour to keep a full flame. We have a 6 person tepee, and it gets really hot inside the tent when the stove is really going so we probably only reloaded the stove every hour or so unless we were cooking. Learned the hard way to keep the spark arrester clean. Got a little smoky on one of our early trips during a heavy downpour after a couple of days of really wet wood. We don’t have to carry as much winter gear with this stove, so we actually gained pack space. Also, our winter pack weight stayed about the same as when we carried extra gear to keep warm, even with the bigger tent and the stove. We thought about a stove with window(s) so we could see the flames, but in the end the functionality of a folding stove was the deciding factor for us. So far very happy with the purchase. This stove worked flawlessly and for what it is (super light, titanium, pack stove) it performs as intended. For those having trouble with the chimney, I would suggest paying attention to breaking it in the right way. You don’t crank these stoves with tons of wood at one time. You build coals. Chimney is tall (9’) but it’s not designed to be freestanding and has a way to stabilize it (see pictures). AND you can always cut it down. It will NOT melt. It’s titanium and rated for 3000 degrees. Far greater than any firebox fire. I took our tent from 47 degrees with no coals to 77 in the tent in approx 15 min. Lastly, I lost my spark arrestor and worked via email with Winnerwell. They had none in stock but assured me they will let me know when in. And sure enough they DID teach out and I got a replacement. All in all very impressive package. ... show more

The box is pretty small but sturdy. It is in no shape or form air tight, which is expected as it's a folding stove. The pipe is disappointingly fragile. I attempted to roll it the first time while camping and it crinkled like a aluminum can. The lack of weight is this stoves only saving grace. The top warped pretty badly, I'm assuming from the weight of the pipe. I would not recommend this to anyone but backpackers or those going to where an open campfire is prohibited. ... show more

I've tested this twice in my backyard before installing it in the tent, and I'm very happy with it! I would like to suggest a few ideas for future desing--installing a small diagonal brace across the panels would make them stronger and not add much weight. I'd like to see some improvement on the leg deployment, but that's about it. Those very small marks for improvement are why I give 4 stars on sturdies, but 5 on both light weight and value for money. I can tell I am going to get a lot of pleasure out of this stove for the rest of my life. ... show more

    • Nice well made hot tent stove
I like the Winnerwell fast fold stove, the ability to assemble the stove by unfolding with no loose parts is exactly what I was looking for. The stove has a nice burn and good draft. No issues with the stove at all, first time assembling the flue pipe is challenging but once burned in the flue pipe pops into shape nicely. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a Ti hot tent stove. ... show more

    • Lightweight and compact but flimsy
Like the title says, the stove is a decent product all around besides the chimney. That component is just a piece of sheet metal. It does the job but will easily deform and crumple when hot. The stove itself is flimsy because of how thin the walls are, but that is understandable to make it lighter. For 500 dollars, I did expect a more reliable product. ... show more

    • Simply the best backpacking stove
I did my homework on this (hours of youtube video reviews, etc) and THIS is the one: - lightest (titanium) - foldable with NO loose parts (trust me, in the dark and/or on snow, you don't want to worry about things to lose in assembly) - perfect size/length for standard purchased wood once split As other have pointed out - must do an initial burn-in at home to "Set" the pipe, which is hard, but possible, to roll with one person (on a flat surface like inside your garage) - burn in ourdoors obviously. - after that, on next use, the pipe practically rolls itself automatically I saw a guy on youtube who cut the pipe length down by a couple of feet. My recommendation is don't do that. On my first outing one spark made it's way through the spark arrestor and to my tent burning a tiny hole. If the pipe was shorter, that would happen more often. Anyway, i LOVE this purchase. 15 degrees and snowing outside, 80 degrees inside. :) ... show more
