1. Be VERY thorough when you clean the window! I can't stress this enough. If there is any kind of dust or particles this will affect how well the window film clings to the window. I'd also leave about a mm or 2 from the edges, sometimes the glue that was used to adhere the glass to the frame sticks out a little past the frame. 2. When applying the film Spray BOTH the window and the cling side of the film GENROUSLY with water. I have hard water so I used distilled water. I don't add soap. I've installed several different films, never used soap. I have no idea how that affects the process. 3. If you find you have to peel it off or peel a corner back just make sure there is no dust or particles on the film or the window. Then RESPRAY the film & window thoroughly with water again. Squeegee the water out as normal. 4. DAB the edges as you squeegee the water out. Don't wipe!! Especially not near the edges. Just dab it. The center circles gives a sort of shimmery look with movement. ... show more

First, I have never been called Customer God before. : ) This is thicker than other products purchased at Big Box stores. I have this intense disdain for curtains. I love the sunlight coming through the windows. But I do need privacy living in the 'burbs. Tried the film on a couple of windows years ago and now I'm sold. I had no problems installing but I have done this multiple times. Bubbles can be a pain but didn't seem to be as much of a problem as the thinner products. One disappointment is that I don't get the rainbows some of the pictures showed. It's on an east and south window so I would think I would get a couple. It's a disappointment but not a deal breaker for me. Great privacy, good sunlight coming through and looks good. Overall, I am very pleased with the product. The thinner products are starting to peel. My experience has been that it is impossible to re-stick with water once it's been up for a while. I will be going with the thicker product such as this when I pull them down. ... show more

This was so hard to install, and cut to size. I thought you wouldn't be able to see inside, but that isn't the case. If you stand outside you can still see inside. Wouldn't buy again. It didn't come with the tool to install.

This privacy film is awesome. I live in a fish bowl that without curtains or drapes anyone can see right through my home. My home is small, drapes or curtains are heavy looking and make my rooms seem smaller, not to mention the expense. I covered half of my patio door, and half of my kitchen window. I live in town now, but use to live on a farm with lots of privacy. This plastic film works great. I have my privacy and the neighbors have theirs... It's not heavy looking, and my rooms don't seem bulky. It gives the rooms the elusion of being little bigger. Its very pretty and easy to put up, just remember measure twice and cut once... also spray lots of water on window. ... show more

I needed something to cover this weird window they put in the house when it was built way back when. I had covered it with spray snow but after almost twenty years it flaked and started to come off. I didn't want to go through that again. This gives us privacy and lets light in the entry way. The window is 18 inches across so I had to put a small horizonatal strip at the top to get it to fully cover but it really isn't noticeable ... show more
