The concept of this is easy peezy. But so is the concept of putting a screen protector on a phone and I can't get that right. I suggest a razor blade or exacto knife to cut the film to fit the window. It slices super easy. I used the little squeegee and ran it and my blade down the edges. Starting at the top. Then left side, right side and finally the bottom. That worked well. Patience is key. I went a little fast and tore the corner. Also make sure your window is squeaky clean. I got it on the window only to find I had missed a section of the window so I have some bubbles there. I only had rain x window cleaner at home. We will see if that affects the longevity of it sticking. Now for the review. I live in Wisconsin and my window is a South facing window. I want to be able to see out for deliveries but prefer to not having people see in from the street. (Especially when you have to go running to the kitchen from the shower...🤦♂️) I put this on my window on a 90 degree July day at 5 PM. Just putting it up to the window to measure I could feel the difference in heat. I was shocked because the window is under a covered entrance. I did the silver, but I think I will reorder in the black. I am likely going to do all my south windows if this holds up well. Only the small window is done. ... show more

I like that you clean your window then add some soapy water to the window and film. Attach to the window and smooth into place. Trim and looks great. From the outside since I have one is black and one is silver. That is how it looks from the outside. Looking out the window the window is darker where the film is. I got it for 2 reasons. First to cut down on the heat coming in the window and second for day time privacy if I wanted to have the shade up. the attached picture is black on the outside looking into the window. But this view is looking out the window. The upper had film on it and part of the lower window (for privacy) But I also have a clear view so I can see what the clouds look like. Had to cover bright sunny big windows. The little application items were inside the tube, I used a bigger water bottle but the sqeegie was great. Thier instructions was to make each panel larger than needed than cut excess with a box cutter, but I found this time consuming and more difficult than simply pre cutting each panel to size and applying I also only saturated the window with sprayed water and didnt try to spray the film, too messy. Bonus, If you didn't get it on correct the first time it was easy to lift and try again, as it was only water. After my changes the application process went quickly. I used another product on the first 4 windows and it was a real chore because the film was thin and was constantly sticking to itself. Thick with inches measured on the back. Probably the easiest film I've ever installed. Came with spray bottle, cloth, and squeegee - which was a nice touch. I have to dock multiple stars though because once night hit the inside is reflective! Like a dang mirror. WHY WOULD I WANT THAT?! I expected it to not provide privacy at night, but the reflective nature 1. Looks cheap/reflects my chunky self on the couch and 2. gives the illusion of privacy at night. I looked at the scraps and yep, both sides are the exact same silver shininess. Really disappointing. I would say for the average sized window, there’s no way to do this on your own. The sheer weight of the film doesn’t hold up until you adhere most of it to the window. You can’t support it with your arms in a T-shirt because it will stick to your arms. There’s no way to get clean edges without razor blades, I gave up on them being pretty very quickly. All-in-all, it does what I wanted it to do. We’ll see about it keeping the room cooler. I also never received a squeegee, just a cloth and very tiny spray bottle that you’ll need to fill up several times installing just half of the window. ... show more
