These are much stronger than some other awnings. I can literally do a pull-up on this. With the metal brackets and polycarbonate sheet, the awning can handle snow load and should last a long time.

This is a really nice product but it is useless if they don’t send the rubber seals and small screws with it. I expected the instructions to be of little use, but they were missing also. All I received were the three (first class) aluminum support brackets and two sheets of Lexan. I did not expect concrete anchors or fasteners to attach it to the wall but you don’t get those either. I could have made it work, BUT if you don’t have the rubber seal to waterproof the joins between the alu and the Lexan, it will leak like a sieve with the first rain (or snow). The product was DOA when it came out of the box. I had to send it back because they will not ship any missing parts and I had to buy a (inferior ?) competitor. The other issue was that the admiral didn’t like the color of the support brackets. “ Champagne” is actually a greeny brown, sort of cammo color. So if greeny brown is not going to fit your color scheme, you may want to pass. ... show more

Pretty easy to assemble. Looks good. Only problem is it is a little too flimsy for my taste. I expected it to be a little more beefy. Overall it’s a good value.

Received package on date specified at purchase. I found it easy to put together and install. Its pretty lightweight but once together it seemed like it could withstand a good storm. Structurally sound with good engineering design. Not something just thrown together. Highly suggest you use your own mounting hardware though.

For the cost, this is what I needed above my outside door and plan to buy again to put above a window. You can't rely on the video for help on the installation. Example, it does not show or say the distance to or from each other as to where to drill the holes. I ended up with two 1/4" holes in the wrong place. I saw in the video and other reviews that one person could do the install. I could not. Using the supplied bolts to secure it to the house would not work for me, I ended up using 3" lag bolts and don't see it blowing away anytime soon. Do yourself a favor and measure five times before drilling once and grab an extra person for lifting and fitting. Just a side note, after you finish installing it, go back and watch the video again for a good laugh. ... show more
