  • Versatile , lightweight, good price
Style: 4-in-1 Yard Tools with Pole Saw
Easy start good running engine. Has a decent amount of power. The attachments are simple to swap around and it comes with the tools need to do so. The pole saw runs smoothly and chain adjust is easy. The trimmer is nice bump style feed easy to re string. The shears are tight, they were really bogging down the engine so I didn’t run those too long. They may loosen up with use I’m not sure. Over all I’ve ran this a few times now and over all I’m satisfied with this tool. For the price it’s a good deal. I run my tools hard and expect them to work. ... show more

  • Great WeedWhacker
Style: 4-in-1 Yard Tools with Pole Saw
Very easy to start and it has lots of power. I got the pole saw attachment, which I haven't used yet, and the hedge trimmer attachments. I already have a hedge trimmer attachment from a previous weed whacker. It fit and ran perfectly on the Badger. Several reviewers said they thought it was heavy. I didn't find it to be any heavier than any other gas weed whacker I've owned. I used it for an hour and a half to trim my hedge, part of that time I was holding it over my head. Then I switched attachments and weed whacked around my yard for 45 minutes. I didn't find it to be cumbersome at all. I felt like it used a lot of fuel. But to be fair, I was running it at full throttle for an hour and a half to trim my hedge. In retrospect, that may not have been too bad. I have owned both a Stihl and a Ryobi gas trimmers and the Badger feels solidly built and a quality tool. I would definitely recommend this tool. ... show more

  • Overheats/Dying quickly
Style: 4-in-1 Yard Tools with Pole Saw
I was on the fence about this trimmer because of the bad reviews for it. I used to own a lawn care company, and exclusively used Stihl products. My first impression was…wow. The pole saw seems engineered well from what I see. Metal housing, metal gears, oiler visible. The plastic shroud over the chain gear seems decent. The hedge trimmer head seems decent—also many metal parts. The brush cutter/line trimmer accessory seems decent. I see zirk fittings to add grease on the attachments. I also thought the motor plastic seemed decent. The harness fits me well. The only little annoyance is how heavy the motor is, but it is what it is. If I bought the pole saw and hedge trimmer for my existing head, that alone would have been around $200. I think this was a great value and happy with the quality. UPDATE: I am using this in addition to the larger 2-handle version by Wild Badger on my off grid property. The larger version is a beast and can go for about 2 hours straight with no problems using a 12 inch brush cutter tri-blade. However, this smaller motorhead struggles with an 8 inch rotary chainsaw blade. I can get maybe 20-30 minutes of use before the motor starts spitting and sputtering and gets really hot. It got so hot it smelled like burning plastic. I would gladly buy the big version of this again, but this smaller motor can’t keep up with what I need it to do. I still think it was a decent value, but I’m foreseeing having to buy a different motorhead in the future. Not sure how long this little motor will hold up before it burns out. It’s definitely getting abused with 16 acres of land to manage. The accessories themselves are solid and seem well-built—no problem with those. UPDATE 2-After using this machine for a few hours per day for less than a week it overheats quickly and will only run with the choke engaged. It frequently stalls out and lacks power. Seems like it’s about to wear out already. The attachments work great, but this little power head just isn’t working for me. I’ll be looking at a different brand now. Not impressed. Guess I’ll need to fork up some money and buy a Stihl power head. 🙄🫤 ... show more

  • Runs great until it doesn't
Style: 4-in-1 Yard Tools with Edger
Easy start and easy to use. Only issue that wasn’t huge was the trimmer line was wound backwards but easy fix. Edit 8/14/24-Weedeater head has two arrows pointing in opposite directions with "Shaft side" 180 degrees from one arrow and "outer side" 180 from the other. No way to know which way to wind the string except by trial and error. Then it just stopped running shortly after replacing the string. Acts like it's a carburetor issue. Will come back and update if warranty makes it good. 8/15/24-I found that when flipping the weedeater over to install the spool that the fuel filter/pick up got stuck in top of the tank causing it not to run. I went ahead and replaced the fuel line with some I had left over from my blower and routed it in a way and length that hopefully this will not happen again. I'll let the rating reflect the poor design but will say when it is getting fuel like it's supposed to it runs decent. I probably would go for an Echo at Home Depot next time though since the cost isn't much more because my job doesn't allow me the time to be working on power equipment. Update 8/23/24-Customer service for Badger is great. I contacted them telling I seemed to be having a fueling problem and they quickly mailed me a fuel tank with lines and cap and a carburetor. So my final say-As most gas powered weed eaters, it will serve well if you are mechanically inclined and able to diagnose the issue. Or at least pull up a YouTube video to help you diagnose. ... show more
