In fact, after I bought this one, I ordered and received another so that I could place one on each side of the door ( to balance the look) It opens and closes so easily. Just flip the lid up or down. It looks well-made. Since I've had them a short time, I don't know how much rain or snow will impact their appearance. They seem sturdy enough and looks as though they'll repel rain. There are tiny holes in it that would allow for bugs or water to get into the storage box.
