I ordered this umbrella for my deck to provide shade and some weather protection while grilling. It does the job nicely and looks great! The mechanism and construction are solid. It rotates smoothly through the entire 360°. It was very easy to assemble, and the accessories (weights and cover) fit perfectly. The umbrella fabric is extremely water repellent. I highly recommend the Navy colored umbrella. It looks excellent in a back yard with a lot of green. I had two issues, though. First, the umbrella isn't 100% waterproof without a modification. The seams need to be sealed. The fabric itself beads water like a duck. But in heavy rain, the seams leak a bit. This can be fixed with simple seam sealing like you would use on camping equipment, except perhaps at the Velcro seam, but I'm going to experiment. This isn't enough to knock off a star for me since it does everything else so well. But the following is why I titled the review "Customer service!" and gave it a five star review. My first umbrella was defective. It arrived with a bunch of unsightly stains on the beige fabric. They couldn't be cleaned off and truly made the product an eyesore. Also, the opening mechanism would hang up when trying to open the umbrella and I couldn't get it to open without painstakingly sorting the ribs and repeatedly jostling the assembly while cranking it open. So I wrote to customer service and provided pictures of the issue. Within a few hours, Abby H. responded to my above complaint about the defective umbrella and offered to replace it for me. I had mentioned in the original email that the beige umbrella's stains made me think I should have chosen the Navy umbrella instead. Abby apologized and said simply and plainly, without any back and forth, that she would immediately have another umbrella sent out, Navy colored if I would like, and I wouldn't have to struggle with returning it to the company due to the bulky size. I sent her back my address, and I had a perfect Navy umbrella in my hands in about a week. I quickly swapped it with the defective one (only two machine screws), and it works flawlessly! Love the 10' umbrella. Covers a large area of our deck. The color (red) isn't as vibrant as we were hoping, but we still love it as a pop of color. Needs a lot of room to open but seems solid and opens easily. Good quality and great customer service! Highly recommend! Does anyone know which cover goes with this umbrella? ... show more

Purchased this as an early Mother's Day gift for my wife. We spend a lot of time on our deck and the son is blazing in the summer. Compared to the other models, I spent more on this one because of the higher quality materials and a design that would work better for our needs. The umbrella arrived today and I was able to assemble it in about 10 minutes. I was impressed with the easy assembly and the quality of the poles. I did run into some minor issues opening the umbrella since there was a piece of cardboard wrapped around the ribs that I could not see. Once this piece was removed, I had to move some of the arms around to get it to open with the crank. The size of the umbrella is perfect for our deck. We have sand bags thrown over the base bars for now, but will need to find a more permanent solution soon. The color of the red umbrella is lighter than I was expecting from the images, but the color is actually what I was hoping for. It matches the stain on our deck very well. There are some holes in the stitching where it is threaded, so time will tell if this causes issues with things like rain or wear and tear. I do like the detail and promise of great customer service in the packaging. I hope I never have to call for issues, but also hope that if I do their advertising will come through. Hi it was sad that product seems used by someone and same used product sent to me. I had to return this product. There was lot of missing parts into product, missing handle to open umbrella, missing attachment near base of umbrella, screws packet was open and missing screws, missing manual to assemble product. I have gotten so many compliments on this umbrella. Incredible quality for the price. Needs to be anchored, base is not enough to hold it, but we secured it to our deck foundation. Highly recommend if you have a way to secure the base.
