Have only tried this once, so can't comment on durability etc. However, it does exactly what I was looking for. My last two blenders have been Ninjas. The first one was good but stopped working after a couple of years. The second one had a hard time really blending everything, requiring multiple lid removals and stirs to get all ingredients (eg: apple chunks) to fully blend, and even then, the overall smoothie texture still had tiny bits in it. Those long tower-like Ninja blades are also unwieldy and a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with. Also, it was noisy, needing me to shut windows when using, with downstairs neighbors in mind as it's always used for a morning smoothie. This WantJoin blender looks great. Simple 'vintage' design, with just a power dial, on/off and pulse switch, no extraneous digital displays and other unnecessary features. It's also very well built, feels hefty and solid with everything locking into place nicely. The noise enclosure works really well (the main thing I was interested in). No need to shut windows even. It blended a perfect smoothie in under 10 seconds at half-mast power (12 o'clock position). The only thing so far that could make this 'perfect' is that the edge of the container doesn't have a pouring spout, so you can't get a perfect pour, but, this is a minor gripe. The brand name may put people off as it really doesn't mean anything (lol) and the directions are clearly translated literally from Chinese with no attempt to make it intelligible to an English speaking audience! But if you can set that aside, this blender is really great value for money. Spending $1000+ on a Vitamix or similar just seems craaaayzy. Highly recommend. ... show more

I saw the words "commercial" and "professional" and that's exactly what I got! This thing is huge sitting on the countertop. It is tall, so if you have low sitting cabinets, it will not fit underneath. It is heavy. I loved the way it came packaged very tightly and protected by styrofoam. This is super impressive. It pulverized ice and turned it into snow within less than 2 seconds. Yes I did time it, and that was on the lowest setting! The quiet shield feature makes a big difference, without it, this thing is very powerful so it is loud. A good blender is a necessity in a vegan cook's home. I am a heavy user (nearly everyday) for smoothies or other things, so this is exactly what I needed. It’s also super easy to clean. Just pour some dish soap and about 300 ml of water and turn it on. It’ll basically clean itself. Then rise. Done. Takes 2 minutes. I will update if anything changes, but for now I am super satisfied, and the price was well worth it! ... show more

We purchased our first wantjoin back in 2012 when we opened one of our coffee shops and we were looking for a different brand, more affordable, and im glad we did, they work great, and very affordable in comparison with other brands, and now that we have a couple of years trying them i can say that the lifetime of expensive brands vs wantjoin is pretty similar! so we will stick with Wantjoin :) we always purchase them with insurance, ( which i recommend to do with every appliance ) is the best way to protect your investment if something goes wrong after manufacturers warranty, and we even had an issue with a blender before manufacturer warranty ended and it was resolved very fast! their customer service is also great, i was happy to see that they backup to their products ... show more

    • Good Blender, Quieter Operation

I have used a couple different blenders now and I realize no blender is perfect. Our Ninja was awesome but hard to clean due to the blades, and mold grew inside the lid. Our InstantPot Ace Blender was good but started leaking a nasty discharge under the base. I have been using this WantJoin blender for about a month now. It blends very well, and the noise shield definitely helps to hold back the typical loudness of a blender. It’s still loud but not as bad as it would be. We do have to stop it and tamper down the ingredients sometimes but that’s not uncommon for a blender. My biggest issue is the size. The pitcher plus the base together are enormous. I don’t have a pantry to store it in, so it sits on the floor of my kitchen. Finding the perfect blender can be a mind numbing process. This is a good blender for the price. I haven’t found any real problems yet. I will update this review if some major issue developers. ... show more

The blender does not fit under countertop and has a rather clunky design. I took the feet off to get it to fit under my countertop (and had to remove the lid) so that was disappointing. It works well enough and does what I need it to, and the price was descent. Update: 4/25/22 It's only been 5 months since this purchase, and I've grown to hate this item more every day. First, it looks like there should be some kind of "key" to fit the bottom so that you can remove the blade for cleaning. There is not. Consequently, the blender ingredients are now leaking out and there's no way to either tighten it or clean it. Secondly, the expensive ingredients get splattered all over the blender when you turn it on and mostly get stuck to the sides without blending. There isn't a way to turn it down to a very low speed, so this doesn't happen. Thirdly, the WantJoin company sent me an email to my private account (outside of Amazon) asking me to change my rating and they would deposit $10 in my PayPal account. So that REALLY irked me. Talk about sleazy. I'm left with a dirty, nasty looking blender that is subpar by any standards. As I said, sorry I ever bought it! ... show more
