  • Might as well go with an Ender
I got the Aquila x3 and it has been great when it works... First and worse, dont expect support!!!!! I had issues with the auto-level and the fact it will not heat the nozzle while in motion (More on this one later). Not sure if it was supposed to be a software level or just level detection, but I would get the "Auto Level Complete" even when it was purposely way out of level. Could not get it to fail. Also had an issue after it leveled, auto-homed, I went to print and it drove the nozzle into the bed ruining the build plate. I updated from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 in hopes that it would fix the issue, but instead it just removed auto-level completely. I reached out to support via their website and after a couple attempts and about a month, nothing. They either are so far behind on support tickets or support is not a priority. Either way, not good. They do not offer the 1.0.0 firmware to roll back. Do not trust Voxelab for support! Manually leveling has been much better anyways. Spare parts are hard to get from them, just buy ender parts from a 3rd party and chances are pretty good that they will work without any issue. Oh, and the bed will run into the y-axis motor. So you have to make sure that it is all the way up and it only gives you maybe 1/16" of tolerance to level despite the threads on the levelers being much longer due to very short springs. Second major issue, is that it CANNOT do two things at once. While the extruder is moving (auto home before a print is the worse) the extruder will NOT heat! I lose about 15-20 degrees from home before it start teh print. If you jump from one print straight into another and there is too much z-axis, you can expect to lose about 30-40 degrees and the first 20 seconds of your print will fail. Why it is unable to heat while in motion boggles my mind and it is not smart enough to realize that maybe dont try to print when the temp is 170 and not the 200 that it set at. Third issue, is that you CANNOT use the whole bed. You get about 1/4" before the temperature difference is just too great and nothing will stick on the outer edges. I was seeing anywhere from 10 to almost 15 degrees difference between center and edge. Even using a raft it would come off after a couple of layers. I have tried all the tricks (glue stick ,hairspray, temperature increase/decrease), the only thing that made it a little better was to replace the PEI plate with an Ender one. I dont think there was any difference, but a new one just worked better (maybe something on the coating that prevents PLA from sticking, I tried all the up to 85 degrees for PLA and it would never stick). I am stuck to about a 4" circle from center of usable space. Would NOT recommend for beginners. If you just need more for a printer army and they are small stuff, it would work great for that. The print quality is quite good, just very frustrating to learn on and grow with. Wish I could return, selling mine and getting an Ender 3. ... show more

  • Great Value & Great Printer
We had been looking at 3D printers for quite some time. When I saw the Voxelab Aquila X3 priced cheaper than the Ender 3 Pro I jumped on the deal. The Aquila X3 is basically a clone of the Creality Ender 3 Pro. Many parts are interchangeable between the two. We have had our Aquila X3 for about 3 weeks now and have been cranking out all kinds of creations with it. A slight learning curve but isn't that true of all technology?!? ... show more

  • not worth the time and money
I have gotten three of these printers, every single one of them, including Aquila, and the X3 are inefficient. Both are easy to run into problems and I genuinely tried with each one and spent hours upon hours trying to find out what's wrong. I asked my friend with experience and even learned how to tackle every problem. No matter what I did a new problem came up or something broke during print. Not worth the time or money. ... show more

  • Would give 0 stars if I could
I have ordered two of these printers and both have arrived damaged. First time the bed was warped and second time I got to the third assembly instruction and there were already 2 damaged pieces. Will NOT ever order this brand ever again!!
