I bought this to help with my ACL sprain and it works great. I like that the ice wraps around the front and back of your knee. I need it mostly for the sides of my knee and most ice packs do not stay in place when you are trying to use them in that spot. This brace fits snugly and by rotating it 90 degrees it applies relief to the sides as well. The only downside is that it is a little bit heavy and bulky, but that is because the ice packs are quite thick. But this allows it to stay cold for long periods, and I can easily cycle the ice pack for 20 minutes, then heat for 20 minutes 3 times without having to put it back in the freezer. I have an electric heating pad, so I have not tried to heat it. The directions are simple, the straps are easy to put on, the inner lining is comfortable, and the ice pack fits comfortably around the knee. I would recommend this to a friend. ... show more

This thing is legit a game changer. I just got a total knee replacement and I’m about a week past my surgery, so I’m icing a lot. This wrap gets all sides of my knee: front, top, and back. It’s so easy to get on by myself, and I love that it has 3 compartments for the ice bags to spread out the cold, or customize it if I’m not in the mood for all 3. A friend recommended this to me, and it’s legit a game changer. The ice packs for cold so fast and stayed cold for a while. I really wanted the pink one but it took longer to ship so I went with the one that was overnight. It’s very durable and the Velcro seems strong and sturdy. It’s a little bulky, but not so much that I have to worry about it walking around with crutches. My husband has also been in some pain just helping me around and wrapped it around his arms when I didn’t need it and it also worked great for that. 5/5 stars for sure!!! ... show more

    • Getting ready for surgery

I truly like this item. This will be the 2nd one so I can have one in the freezer while using the other one.. I've been using the one I have after PT (thought it was a strained MCL) and it fits well on the knee and provides some good relief. However, the 'strained tendon' is actually a torn meniscus and I need a little scoped surgery... and I don't want to be without a frozen knee pack on hand.... so I'm planning on using one while the other sits in the freezer and alternate as I need them. They hold a cold temperature for quite a while, fit well (being adjustable) and are very comfortable. The alternative to this is an ice water machine, which I have, but I don't think this type of surgery is going to require something that extreme and it's much more of a PITA to use..... You can use these over other parts of your body as well although they might not stay in place (like arms or shoulder for pulled muscles). Overall, these ice pack wraps are well worth it and definitely something to have on hand. ... show more

    • Essential for Post-Op Knee Replacement Recovery!!!

The recovery tool I wish I had for my previous full knee replacement! I have now had both knees fully replaced. My first recovery was good, and I diligently rotated ice treatments as directed, using reusable ice bags from the hospital and typical gel packs wrapped in towels as we did for our kids’ sports injuries. After my 2nd full knee replacement my orthopedic surgeon emphasized being especially diligent about rotating ice to reduce swelling and promote healing, and suggested looking for a wraparound because behind the knee tissue is important, too. This knee wrap is OUTSTANDING! I have also purchased a gel replacement pack (comes with 3 packs) so I do 15 minutes on/off many times during the day and don’t have long stretches without icing. I am 3 weeks out from surgery and healing is going GREAT! My mobility is ahead of the norm, pain and swelling reduced, my doc was thrilled! This wrap has really changed my recovery experience - a game changer well worth the cost. I got the black with turquoise trim, which looks quite snazzy - my PT doc was super impressed and took down the info intending to purchase several for herself and her practice. Very durable so far, three weeks of daily heavy use and pack rotation to the freezer; Gel packs have a heavy-duty covering so no punctures or failures. Fits well, super adjustable with 4 straps which ensure a snug fit all around; one is longer for the thigh (which fits my plus-size thigh area). I use a 6” Ace bandage wrap or a 12” gentle compression sleeve underneath to ensure the right level of chill is hitting the surgical areas without over-chilling. Portable, stretchy, easy to use. I chose this knee wrap because I needed a good way to ice the back of my knee as well as the front. This wrap definitely does the job. It seems to stay cold WAY longer than I expected, and is doing a great job helping to heal my knee injury. I put the whole thing in the freezer, not just the inserts; took about 3 hours to completely freeze, and although I ordered a set of extra packs so far I haven't needed to use them because the wrap holds the cold very well. I just had a titanium rod put in my tibia with screws after an accident and surgery, so my knee is very painful at the rod insertion site. I have tried several ice wraps specifically for my knee, but none of them really “hug” my knee and feel like they’re surrounding my knee with cold until this one!!! I previously tried the Revix brand knee ice pack, but it was so stiff and wouldn’t conform around my knee at all, but this one is really soft and comfortable.
