  • If you're over 40 you're probably Vitamin D deficient - so buy some!
Size: 360 Count (Pack of 1)
I KNOW I'm going to sound like an advertisement for vitamins, but this is legit. I'm 65, diabetic, not into exercise (other than light walking), and don't have a gym membership. I don't sell or have anything to do with health stuff other than taking supplements in a desire to stay healthy longer. I do read a lot about supplements and argued often with my former doctor who believed medicine, not diet or supplements is the way to health. Anyway, I try many different brands before I find ones that I love, that work, and that are affordable. This is my favorite of the 20 something brands I've tried. And I'm also thrilled that the black label looks good on my kitchen shelf. Ridiculous I know, but I'm swayed by good design since I'm also a graphic designer/ghostwriter and I DO notice those things... BACKGROUND: Vitamin D is one of the few vitamins that interacts with every one of our organs. It is a powerful immune booster. And, if you're experiencing fatigue, frequent illnesses, and slow healing you may be Vitamin D deficient. It's estimated that one billion people worldwide are vitamin D deficient and almost every woman over the age of 50 is deficient. Vitam D directly interacts with the cells that are responsible for fighting infection. Before I started taking Vitamin D I often became sick with the flu or respiratory issues. Then I learned low vitamin D levels might be a contributing factor. According to Healthline.com, several large observational studies have shown a link between a deficiency and respiratory tract infections like colds, bronchitis, and pneumonia. A number of studies have found that taking vitamin D supplements at a dosage of up to 4,000 IU daily may reduce your risk of respiratory tract infections In one study in people with the chronic lung disorder COPD, only those who were severely deficient in vitamin D experienced a significant benefit after taking a high-dose supplement for one year." Since taking Vitamin D I have not had my semi-annual bouts with bronchitis or pneumonia in several years. I feel better, have more energy, and sleep better when I take Vitamin D. I like this brand because it does NOT give me stomach issues, is easy to swallow and seems to work better than what I can buy in the grocery store or my local pharmacy. Try several brands and FINISH the bottle before deciding. This may or may not be the best brand for you, but I love it! ... show more

  • Good source of Vitamin D3
Size: 360 Count (Pack of 1)
I ordered this and received it the next day so shipping was definitely quick and the product was packaged well. I like that this version of Vitamin D is made up of “D3” instead of “D2”. I also like the quality certifications such as being Non-GMO and how the ingredients listed do not contain many other unnecessary ingredients like soy, gluten, fillers, coloring, and binders which I avoid... and even the gelatin used to make the softgels is Kosher if that’s important to you. I also like that this product is manufactured and tested in the United States. At this point, I cannot attest to the quality of the product given how I’ve just received it but it was sealed well and the smell is not off. I can say that the liquid softgels are very small and should be very easy to swallow for anyone who has that concern when taking supplements. I also like that you can view independent testing using the lot # of the product you receive. I would like to give this product 5 stars; however, I would have preferred to receive a fresher product with an earlier MFG date. That given... at least this company includes that information as many do not. I am not a doctor so please do not take the following as medical advice... that being said, I will say that the 125 mcg (5,000 iu) serving per soft gel which I ordered is plenty and is well above the above the daily RDA, so I personally wouldn’t take the 250 mcg (10,000 iu) serving size unless directed to do so by a physician. Also, I personally would avoid taking any other Vitamin D supplements when taking this...The same can be said when taking any other fat soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, E, & K because you will not simply excrete any excess amounts through your urine. Unlike water soluble vitamins, fat soluble vitamin levels can build up in your system over time, so watch your intake levels and don’t over do it. Overall, I would highly recommend this product and am very happy with the speed and packaging of this purchasing experience, I just wish the product was a little fresher. ... show more

  • Works
Size: 360 Count (Pack of 1)
I love this brand as I also take the Evening Primrose by them as well so when I became Vitamin D deficient I figured why not try these. I am about halfway through the bottle and do notice a difference in myself. I do not have windows in my classroom so I noticed, and it was pointed out to me, that spending 6-7 hours in there with not much outside time was causing me to be depressed. I do notice I am more energized now, less depressed, have more energy, and less foggy headed and dizzy throughout the day. I pair these with my iron gummies and they are having a very positive effect on me. They are super small so they are very easy to take. The bottle is durable and great way to store these little vitamins. I highly recommend this brand. I've been trying to find supplements for a while and this brand is great. ... show more
