I got this refurbished. I have had multiple problems since I got this. The keys are not working properly. The touch screen is not working. Then the battery is not staying charged. I work at a school and I purchased this so I could stop using my school district issued chrome book. It is sad for me to say that the school district issued chrome book is working better than this is. I also purchased a protection plan and they are refusing to fix this under the warranty. They are telling me that if I want them to fix it that I will need to pay for it and it will cost at least $400. I did not even spend $400 for the thing to begin with so I refuse to spend at least that amount to get it fixed. I have contacted the seller multiple times and have not heard back. The address they gave is a bogus address in Texas. Then I looked online and there is no phone number that I can find. I finally told them that if I do not hear back within a certain time frame that I am going to my bank to file a fraud complaint. Then file a complaint with consumer protection. I couldn’t be happier with this refurbished MacBook. It looks brand new and runs so quickly. No scratches, new charger, and battery life is good. I was skeptical buying refurbished instead of new, but I’m glad I did.

The computer works pretty well! It’s nice to look at and there are no issues with the screen or anything. However, it came un-updated so I had to figure out how to do it, but once you get it done, it’s good. Mine came with a battery issue that’s affecting its battery performance. I feel like the battery could’ve been replaced! The cost of getting it fixed professionally is over $200 too. Another thing as well is the year of the computer. The year is misleading. First off I would like to start with saying I am beyond pleased, I ordered this computer and read the reviews after the fact and got a little worried, there were a lot of bad reviews I saw and I didn’t know if I should’ve belived them because I have ordered a couple of renewed Apple products off of Amazon before and had no issues. Here is my experience: (I ordered excellent condition for $299) when I got it came bubble wrapped, with a charger and with a “case” (a computer sticker skin). I didn’t need to plug it in it was already charged and I turned it on and set it up, I did run into a problem accepting the terms of service, you have to go back and press set up I cloud later in order to accept the terms, I added my I cloud after the fact, I texted people and FaceTimed time to make sure it worked and it did (sound and camera quality is great) , everything on my phone transferred over immediately contacts, photos, Apple Music, recent messages everything! I didn’t know you couldn’t download apps like Netflix and YouTube, you have to search up the website online sign into it and then set it up as a shortcut and as you can see in my last picture I have everything added into my bar and I turned the computer off and back on to make sure it didn’t sign me out,so far I’ve had no issues with battery drainage it has been open for a long time and barely went down, I also switched over the default browser to chrome to make it easier to use for school you can download that online as well, the only thing wrong with it to my knowledge is the tiny tiny dot on the screen (second pic) it turns black when it’s on and white when it’s turning off and I really don’t care about it I paid $300 and these computers go for over $1000 so I could really care less, overall I love this so much and I’m glad I bought it, it is an amazing deal and really recommend it for anyone wanting one ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this macbook thinking it would be good quality since it stated “excellent” for the condition it was in. I’ve bought other apple items that have been refurbished and they were like brand new. The key board and mouse pad did not work as shown in the video. The left corner look like it was dropped. There were multiple scratches on the bottom and then computer itself was disgusting with crap in it. I would never recommend this product. Do not buy! ... show more

    • Decent but dirty and rattling speakers
The media could not be loaded. The appearance of the laptop is nearly perfect however it came with enormous amount of food crumbs on the keyboard and dust that could have simply been wiped. The screen is perfect. I turned on music to check the speakers and there it was- rattling like subwoofers bumping your favorite rapper in the hood! For the money paid, I can’t complain. I’ll just probably pay to get the speakers replaced- they’ll probably throw in a keyboard cleaning too! ... show more
