while this product functionally works, the quality is absolutely not the Excellent quality that I paid for. The laptop makes a scraping noise due to the amount of dirt on the internal pieces including the fan, and the outside of the laptop is covered in scratches despite havingn paid for Excellent quality. The only reason i'm not returning this laptop for a refund is due to my need for it as a full time student. If you're fine with doing more work than the seller to refurbish this laptop then by all means purchase this, but to be completely honest i probably would not have purchased this laptop in the first place with the foresight of how much of a stretch that "excellent" quality label is ... show more

I purchased this laptop specifically to develop iOS apps, so I wasn’t aiming for anything top-of-the-line. That said, for the price, the quality is impressive. There are a few minor scratches on the exterior, but they’re barely noticeable unless you’re looking closely. Comes with Charger. UPDATE: I received a newer version of the MacBook Pro instead of this older version. Certainly not complaining, however do not be disappointed when you don't receive exactly what is shown in the picture. The computer works pretty well! It’s nice to look at and there are no issues with the screen or anything. However, it came un-updated so I had to figure out how to do it, but once you get it done, it’s good. Mine came with a battery issue that’s affecting its battery performance. I feel like the battery could’ve been replaced! The cost of getting it fixed professionally is over $200 too. Another thing as well is the year of the computer. The year is misleading. First off I would like to start with saying I am beyond pleased, I ordered this computer and read the reviews after the fact and got a little worried, there were a lot of bad reviews I saw and I didn’t know if I should’ve belived them because I have ordered a couple of renewed Apple products off of Amazon before and had no issues. Here is my experience: (I ordered excellent condition for $299) when I got it came bubble wrapped, with a charger and with a “case” (a computer sticker skin). I didn’t need to plug it in it was already charged and I turned it on and set it up, I did run into a problem accepting the terms of service, you have to go back and press set up I cloud later in order to accept the terms, I added my I cloud after the fact, I texted people and FaceTimed time to make sure it worked and it did (sound and camera quality is great) , everything on my phone transferred over immediately contacts, photos, Apple Music, recent messages everything! I didn’t know you couldn’t download apps like Netflix and YouTube, you have to search up the website online sign into it and then set it up as a shortcut and as you can see in my last picture I have everything added into my bar and I turned the computer off and back on to make sure it didn’t sign me out,so far I’ve had no issues with battery drainage it has been open for a long time and barely went down, I also switched over the default browser to chrome to make it easier to use for school you can download that online as well, the only thing wrong with it to my knowledge is the tiny tiny dot on the screen (second pic) it turns black when it’s on and white when it’s turning off and I really don’t care about it I paid $300 and these computers go for over $1000 so I could really care less, overall I love this so much and I’m glad I bought it, it is an amazing deal and really recommend it for anyone wanting one ... show more

    • Screen stopped working after 2 months-battery also not "excellent" condition
I understand it is a used product, but when you purchase excellent, you expect a decent product. I had to pay almost $200 to replace the screen that stopped working from one minute to the next. When I took the computer to the tech shop, to find out the problem, they also said the battery was warped. NOT EXCELLENT CONDITION. ... show more

I’ve had this computer for about 3 weeks now and the exterior and condition of the laptop is great but I’ve noticed it does not keep a charge for more than 3hrs. I will have it at a full 100% and quickly starts to die if I don’t have it plugged in constantly. A few of the keys are worn out so you have to push them with more force than others. May seem like a minor issue but leads to a lot of autocorrection needed which is not ideal for those who write lengthy assignments. The sound quality also is diminished once it’s turned up over 70%, it starts to sound as if part of the speaker is blown. The last issue is the speed of the computer is not nearly as fast as my previous Mac which is actually older than this model. I definitely want to return this product but can’t afford to wait over a week for a replacement. ... show more
