This was a recommendation from someone at work. The Vital Proteins Collagen powder dissolves great in hot liquids, not so much cold. Review complaints about how it tastes in cold liquids are spot on. It doesn’t dissolve great in poured cold drinks if you just dump it in. A little bit of liquid and a whisk helps to break it in down before you add the rest of your cold liquid to the glass. But it’s still a little gritty to me that way, but there are no clumps or slime. As a no-fail trick that works all the time, I use a couple of teaspoons of hot water to first dissolve the powder and then I add that dissolved slurry to whatever cold liquid I’m drinking it in. Works every time this way. Unflavored doesn’t have an offending taste to me, and I’m very fussy. The serving is four tablespoons per 8oz, and at that amount I can taste it in my coffee. I just spread out the serving into different drinks, such as a second cup of coffee and/or a glass of orange juice etc. Just think about it and you’ll find it’s really easy to get a daily serving in throughout the day. Someone else at work says she adds all four tablespoons to her one cup of coffee or sometimes to her water bottle if she skips coffee and says and the unflavored “taste” is fine to her. ... show more
