    I got this to support my gut in addition to weight gain due to unintentional weight loss because of my UC as any easily digestible protein. I mix it in with my coffee or tea with creamer it adds a lovely taste. Similar to coco without being overly sweet. It mixes well with a spoon but again i am mixing into a hot drink. Easy to swallow, smells delicious as well. I have only used it daily for a couple of weeks yet believe it works great so far for my needs. Have managed to gain and maintain 1 lb and (tmi) passing stool more frequently and easily. Noted for those in my situation. For skin health i can not make any noticeable claims however as my skin is already pretty youthful for 38 on I have skin care regimen I follow. The container size is decent if just one person using once per day but in retrospect. Small amount and pricey.     These products are very good if you want change from the inside out. I started this a year ago and noticed my skin had started changing and my hair was growing faster also I felt more energetic.     I first bought the Vital Proteins Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides Powder about two years ago and decided it was time to repurchase. It arrived quickly, and I was happy to see the container was actually full—I can’t stand when a product shows up half-empty, like, are you kidding me? Luckily, this one was delivered. The powder has the same fine texture I remember, and it dissolves easily in my coffee with no weird taste or grittiness. So far, I’ve only taken it twice, so I can’t speak to the results just yet, but I’m hoping the ingredients are solid and I’ll see improvements in my hair, nails, and skin. Honestly, I can’t even remember why I stopped buying it before—but hey, new year, new review! Also forgot to mention, this didn't come with a scooper in side. Go figure.     My husband and I have been using Vital Proteins for almsot a year and we both noticed that we really feel great but we realized just how much it has made a difference when we were on vacation for 10 days and didn't use it the entire time. As soon as we came back and started using it again we were both amazed at how much of a difference it makes in our overall well-being! I decdied I will always bring the travel packs along with me from now on when I am away from home . I put it in my morning coffee every day and it dissolves immediately - no clumping , no taste.     I love this collagen powder but definitely mix it with something else. Even though its unflavored cannot drink it by yourself as it does have a werid taste. I like to add it to my coffee and add my oatmilk to it.

    I'm normally skeptical of supplements, but this stuff WORKS. My hair and skin look much healthier, and I get lots of new hair growth. It isn't a complete protein, so it doesn't really count if you're trying to get so many grams of protein per day. It doesn't come with the scoop anymore (they say it's for the environment, but we all know it was cost-cutting). I'm glad I kept my scoop from a while ago.     Pros: no smell Cons: don't like the taste, i guess I'm sensitive to taste and smells but i can pick up a taste and i don't know if I'll be able to finish the whole container. It has a smell-taste. Have you ever sanded or ground down bone? Like deer antler or cow hoof? That burnt smell that the keratin puts off? That's what it tastes like. Like I'm drinking powdered ground-up antlers 🫎. My husband makes knives and uses horns and antlers for the handles and when he's sanding and grinding the handle down to smooth it off, this is what I smell in his shop. Unfortunately, this is also what i taste when i drink the powder. I have tried mixing it in with my smoothies to hide the taste but the first time I did this, it turned a 32 oz smoothie into a 72 oz+ smoothie. It Made the smoothie very frothy, voluminous, and it took me a long time to drink because there was so much of it but there was no taste. The second time, i mixed it in with my smoothie I put a scoop of the powder in my smoothie after I had already mixed it. This time it coagulated the powder. It didn't have a taste because it was in the smoothie, but every so often it felt like I was eating clumps of boogers and that made it hard to suppress my gag reflex. Another time I mixed it with a soft drink. I put a scoop in a glass and then I poured the soft drink in the glass and it bubbled over, kind of like when you mix baking soda and vinegar to make a volcano. It was a frothy, bubbly, 7th grade science experiment gone wrong. I went ahead and drank it after cleaning up the counter and cabinets but that also coagulated the powder and i was back to square 1 with boogers in my drink. My only option at this point is to mix it with the least amount of water suggested (8 oz) and just shotgun the drink after I mix it so that I don't have to taste the powdered antlers. I am determined to finish it to see what results I get and because i paid for it but it definitely does have a taste. At this point, i haven't seen any noticeable improvements in my hair, skin or nails after about 3 weeks on the powder. Will update if that changes. Update: delivered Mar 20, today is May 2, I've been taking 1-2 scoops nearly every day since it was delivered give or take 1-3 days where i forgot, so far, I've only noticed stronger nails. I used to have strong nails but, of course, with age that changed. Last few years I've had gel put on my nails and my nails are always so weak and soft after just one gel manicure that I usually don't do them again for a month or so. I've noticed that this time around my nails were so strong after taking the gel off. I also do my nails at home, i know gel manis aren't the best for your nails but i don't buff my nails as hard and the products i use aren't commercial so they don't last as long. Anyway, that is one noticeable improvement, my nails actually have a lot of length to them and they are so strong. It doesn't take long for my nails to grow but i would always cut them down bc i knew that they are softer and would just bend and break and then i just cut them all the same length bc i don't like having different length nails. Another thing that i learned is that the product doesn't clump and congeal if i mix it with room temperature tap water. I was getting my water from the fridge and it is cold and that may have been causing the gross collagen boogers after mixing it. I'm fact, the directions say to mix with tap water or room temperature water or something to that effect. I don't remember reading that the first time so i tried it about 1 week ago and i haven't had to chew any collagen boogers since. So that is my review after one solid month and a half of taking this brand. I will be trying another brand with more collagen types in it (Beyond Collagen with biotin) just to expand my horizons and to see if i notice any changes in my hair or skin with a different brand. Also, i DO NOT recommend the vanilla-flavored collagen, that is such a disgusting, artificial taste that it leaves that i would rather stick with the ground antlers tastes.
