I use this often. My attendant uses this. It is amazing. It is easy to move from room to room. Changing the configuration is just a matter of unscrewing and popping one piece out for another. It is sturdy and doesn’t overbalance even with the phone in the center and fully extended. I could go all Mary Poppins and supercal…but I could never spell that bloody word. I can’t think of anything that I don’t like about it. Okay I just thought that it would be fantastic if it were cheaper but then I am guessing the product wouldn’t be as fabulous. Anyway if you are looking for something that is versatile and adjustable and has good lighting to help you with your YouTube channel or whatever this is not likely to let you down ... show more

I researched for a while to find a stand to film crafting videos and myself for live streaming. Stands I found were upwards of $100-$140. That just wasn’t in my budget at the moment, so I purchased this stand with the thought of “just until” I can get the one I really want. I don’t think I’ll be switching to the more expensive brands. This stand is exactly what I needed! It’s heavy duty and holds my tablet, phone, and the included light with ease. Please make sure you have everything tightened down though.     • Functional but broke after using it twice
UPDATE: The vendor replaced the broken part immediately for free. Great customer service! I really like this stand. Overall it’s very functional but the big holder broke almost immediately after purchasing. I’m usually very careful and gentle with these things so it wasn’t being mistreated. I was adjusting the angle to record something and the screw part fell apart. It had been a while since I had purchased it before I started using the stand so I didn’t return it. That being said, everything else is good. I like the size and brightness of the lamp. Adjustable height comes handy. It’s easy to assemble and switch things around. I bought this about 6 weeks in preparation of starting a very small Etsy business and today was the first time I tried to use it other than setting it up to make sure it worked. When I was moving the ring light around to get the right lighting it came loose in my hand. I assumed the joint was just loose but when I looked at it I realized it actually had snapped off.     • Limitations of the device
1. The stand has three points at which devices can be attached. Two at mid level and one at top level. The two at mid level do not permit devices to be attached so that they can be used as scanners or for desktop videos. The ball joints, at the mid-level do not permit downward movement. Therefore, the mid-level attachment points are useful only for viewing the device screens or to take the type of video where you are talking into the camera or for fixed point surveillance kinds of photos or videos. It would be great if each of the midpoint joints could permit facing down and if the joints could be pulled further away from the center bar. Without being pulled further away, the center bar prevents full downward projection AND, in any event, the base becomes part of the video or photo. 2. The top ball joint does not, itself, permit downward projection for video and photography. There are three joints that are part of the upper bar. Those can be arranged for downward projection and to keep the base out of the field of view. However, extension outward of the upper bar renders the device less stable. That is cured pretty easily by adding some weight to the flat base. 3. My primary disappointment with this device is that, when used for viewing the screen of an ipad pro, it can only reliably be used in landscape position. When put in portrait position, the ipad slowly but surely slips down and will eventually fall out of the holder, possibly causing serious damage to the ipad. That is because the tension of the holder does not adequately grip the ipad. The holder only grips the ipad on its long sides. Some kind of brace should be added for portrait position viewing. 4. The directions could have been a bit more clear, particularly as to how the holders must be snapped onto the ball joints. 5. I have not experimented with the light. However, I suspect that the light is of no use when the stand is used to scan or to do desktop video or photography. As previously noted, the top holder must hold the graphics device for that purpose. Putting the light on one of the lower attachment points would interfere with the video or photograph. 6. The light is powered via USB; however no usb charger was included with the stand. Not a problem for me since I have a load of chargers. However, it would have been helpful if the stand had an embedded charger that could provide power both to the light and to the iphone and ipad. ... show more

    • Super sturdy—much cheaper than Canvas lamp!
I kept seeing ads on IG for the Canvas lamp—a heavy-based, overhead ring light/phone clamp for filming Art process videos, etc. I wanted to buy one, but they were well over $100. So I decided to give this a try instead and so far I LOVE it! It holds my iPhone 11 Pro Max, no problem. No shifting or sagging, and the ring light is perfect! I love that there are 3 color temps. Really easy to use and is great for recording when I am crafting! I wish the light was a little bigger but does good enough for what I need. Be sure to watch your head when standing up if the top arm is in use lol!
