Wow, I'd forgotten how much I liked this type of massager. I have a spot in the middle of my back that periodically gives me much pain. It hasn't flared up for years but it came back with a vengeance I found this and it came same day. I didn't walk I ran to the front door to get it and immediately set it up. I've been using it off and on since. Needless to say it's exactly what the doctor ( me ) ordered! This massager is exactly what it says, deep tissue and I'm not kidding. The heat isn't overwhelming and you can move it around enough to hit the areas you really need. If you don't try this out let me just tell you you're silly, haha. It's great quality, the handle on the top makes it easy to move around, the perfect size, the settings are easy to reach, I just can't say enough about this. Not a review person but it was worth it to do a review. I enjoy kneading massages. I have a serious pain in my lower back. I’ve never had back pain before. I’m sitting now and utilizing it - it’s heated and it kneading. It’s perfect. I read reviews that it conks out day 31. I’ll buy another on day 32. This thing is quite good for the price. I typically use a hard foam roller to stretch out my middle back pain. I have had pain in the same area for over 20 years. Last week, I tried to move some wood loading ramps early in the morning and all of sudden felt like I could not even stand up. It almost felt like something broke in my back. This has acutally happened before in the past, but only a few times over 20 years. Usually it is just a muscle strain which is painful at first, then sore for a couple weeks to a couple months at most. I ordered this back massager the morning after this latest injury and it was delivered within a couple hours. The foam roller was just too painful and would not provide the little cracks and immediate relief it typically does. This massager provided such intense feelings of relief and got into deep tissue that I literally felt what you could describe as euphoria. The problem is it felt so good that I really leaned my weight onto the unit so much that the balls would barely move and I seem to have bruised my back around my spine quite a bit. Now I can only use this massager very lightly until the bruise heals up. The heating feature is not all that warm, but I did feel it. Being a long time sufferer of back pain, I try a little of everything. This massager should really help provide some immediate temporary relief. But to those suffering, I will relate that the absolute best help was strengthening my core by situps, pullups, pushups etc and the corresponding weight loss. I did not have any back pain for years when I could do sets of 10-15 pullups at a time, but I got lazy and now I am suffering again. I have a tens unit. It works great, but it is too hard to get the pads on my back by myself. I have the heating pads and the ice pads. I have the foam rollers with and without knubs. I have a bosu ball. I have the icy hot, the tiger balm, the biofreeze. I have a hot tub with all kinds of jets and 5 different seating positions. This massager is a very welcome addition. I bought an accupressure mat at the same time, about which I was very skeptical in comparison to a shiatsu heated massager. But I am using the accupressure mat in conjunction with the shiatsu massager and light stretching and got back to work after only a couple days with only annoying stiffness, discomfort and soreness instead of intolerable pain and immobility. ... show more

My glutes are full of painful knots because I involuntarily clinch my muscles there. They cause me a lot of problems including back stiffness, poor posture, and poor sleep. I've tried every medical intervention from physical therapy to acupuncture to chiropractic to professional massage, but all I needed was something that could really knead some deep, tough knots in my tushie.     • Great for a sore back. Best when propped-up inside the back of a chair

I gifted this to my wife who suffers from a sore back after a long day at work. It was too strong on the floor, and pushes too deep into the muscle. But we found it works best propped-up against the inside back of a recliner, then you can lean into the machine as much or little as you prefer. It gives a strong message and leaves the skin a muscle hyper-stimulated, almost tingly and sensitive. But I understand that is how Shiatsu massage works. Overall it is a relief and very helpful. I wish it had a longer band for a recliner since the included strap is fitted for a car seat. A longer strap would be more practical in the home with a regular chair.
