Manufacture saw the problems and immediately made it right, replacing both the temperature gauge and the cracked firebox. They even sent a pdf of the manual. Very satisfied. First of all there were no instructions on how to assemble the stand and handles, it wasn’t rocket science so we managed. The fire box was cracked on arrival but not so bad that it was unusable, but for the price the grill it shouldn’t come cracked. Also the thermometer is in Celsius which I didn’t originally notice as the display photos has the gauge arrow obstructing the C. It’s going to work fine but overall a bit disappointing ... show more

It's a nice grill can generate a lot of heat with small amount of charcoal... Wish the grill height was adjustable because it's not easy to control cooking speed... But still experimenting with various methods more to follow

Overall, my husband is thrilled with this grill! He has wanted a Green Egg for a long time; however we couldn’t justify spending so much. This little grill looks to be a copy-cat of the Mini Max and the only issues we want better are the venting, both above and below. He already fixed the top vent. It was too loose and flopped around when the lid was opened. He just took the screw out, filed the “post” down it went into, and then replaced the screw. The bottom vent in the ash clean-out has no screen; so when you open the vent it will allow ash to fall out. Plan on replacing or adding a mesh screen. Also bought replacement grills. And we would definitely NOT consider it portable as it weighs over 70 lbs. But we did not buy it to take anywhere. It is now happily mounted on a table and ready to BarBQue! ... show more

It arrives 80% assembled, the rest was easy. This grill is very heavy and is bigger in person than in the photo. I used it for the first time as a test run before having guests over. For a first time try my ribs came out falling off the bones. The temperature gauge is idiot proof and eliminated any guess work. This company responds quickly to emails. I wanted to purchase the blue but the red would arrive faster so they quickly cancelled the blue so I could reorder the red. Great product and solid customer service. ... show more

Product looks great, however recieved with damage to box. Opened to inspect and lower ceramic bowl section has 3-inch wide 3/4-inch deep crack on the seal surface. Seal material is holding cracked piece in place. BBQ shall need to be returned.......

If you are looking for portable, light weight, this is not your cooker. According to my UPS it is a HEAVY 75 lbs. I don’t need it to be portable , I cook for two so I LOVE it! It is well made and has a small learning curve. The instructions are a little wonky to put it together BUT it includes your tools. I started, had to walk away and come back!
