Step 2: Cut the window film into a proper size(a little bigger than glass). Step 3: Clean the glass and spray enough soapy water on it. Step 4: Peel off the transparent backing film and paste window film to glass. Step 5: Squeegee away water and air bubbles with a squeegee or a credit card. Step 6: Trim around the edges carefully with a utility knife and a hard card. Q&A: Q1: Why the window film can't stick well and fall down? A: Maybe the transparent backing film wasn't peeled off, or the edges of film curled and you didn't deal with it. Q2: Why the edge of window film curls? A: The shape of film is just temporarily fixed curly because of the low temperature. Solution: You can simply use heavy books to flaten the edges of window film for a few hours. Product was easy to install. I did use the tip of applying scotch tape to the backing and film and pulling in opposite directions to get the backing started. I cleaned my windows thoroughly, used a mixture of water and baby shampoo to wet the window, applied the film cut to size, and used a squeegee to push out excess water. Keeps our dog out of the window. The product has been up about three weeks with no issues. I would buy this again. ... show more

    • Static Clings can be tricky.

I have used static clings before. I already knew the techniques. I have learned you need to follow those techniques if you want them to stay up. I make paper templates of the area I am going to be applying them to. Then I use these to cut the film. Clean the window, spray on water, apply film, add more water and use a small squeegee to smooth it out. But I got this to back some tinted cabinet glass. I did not want the contents showing through. But this does not work for that because the back is white. I would have to put the film on the outside of the glass, which I do not want to do. I wanted the tinted glass look but not show through. I cannot apply it to the inside of the glass because it would show through white. So, it didn't work for what I wanted. But I think it would work great as black out film on windows as intended. ... show more

Purchased two rolls have only used one at the moment. Like how it makes the room dark. Appreciate the lines for cutting straight lines. Better to cut film with a paring knife verse scissors makes the job much easier to continue to the next piece. Not too much to it.

It Is Blackout But Doesn't Stay On... I'm using it on my windows, to keep the sun out and it does that, but didn't cling on, like it was supposed to... I had to tape it up with clear packing tape, so it would stay...
