Great product! Unfortunately, I misplaced the electric fireplace glass doors as well as the remote. Could I order a new set of doors as well as a remote control?

The media could not be loaded. We had a wood burning fireplace that we never used due to the mess, trouble getting wood and the overall possible dangers. There was a lot of cold air coming into the house there so I tried to think of a way to block that and decided an electric fireplace insert would be the quickest, easiest and least expensive. It also turned out to be pretty nice looking. We were amazed at how realistic it looked for the price. I agree with others that the wood crackling sound is awful so we just leave that turned off. Heat output is ok but we don't often need it now that the cold air is blocked. The only thing I would have done differently is to buy one with a better remote. You have to be almost straight out from the sensor for it to work. We're very happy we paid the extra $50 to get one with the mesh screen and doors.     • Beware of poor quality

I do not usually write a review but this product deserves a big warning. There are several flaws that your need to be aware of: 1) Expect a difficult installation unless you don't want to tie this product to something and let it be loose. If you choose to not tie, expect an accident to happen because the glass doors are heavy and can easily pull the unit forward. There are no means to mount the unit to side walls easily because of how it was designed so expect to drill some custom drilling to make it happen and most likely hire a handyman if you don't know how to do custom wall mounts yourself. 2) The quality of the parts inside is so low, like a cheap halloween mask. It is poorly crafted and not even properly paint it to fake the fireplace better. You will notice right away when you feel the fake bricks and logs. 3) The unit does not hold the configuration used last time (color, head level, sounds, etc), so if you turn it off and then on, you need to choose all again. This is annoying compared to other cheaper products like Duraflame whose configuration sticks the next time you turn it on. 4) Heat is reasonable, but not great. I used another heater from Costco before and the result was a lot better so it does not give the same warm effect for faking a fireplace. 5) Overall, besides filling the fireplace space with something, this unit did not accomplish anything. We chose this electric fireplace after a recent renovation that converted a living room into a bedroom. We wanted to retain the look of the original traditional wood burning fireplace but not a fire in a bedroom, nor did we want a gas fireplace, for similar safety reasons. This is a well made unit that fits perfectly into our 36" X 27" firebox. It looks absolutely fantastic! Forget about the "fire sound affect" as it sounds more like radio static. We haven't completely figured out the remote, which we will probably lose anyways. the on face controls are great as are the functional doors and screen. Highly recommend! ... show more

Overall, a good value for the money. Easy to install, works well. The remote is on the cheapy side, as is the rest of the unit upon a close inspection. But from a distance, it looks amazing. For the price, it is worth it.

We bought this fireplace insert in October 2022, it's December 2022 and I wanted to review thus far. It delivered quickly and very easy to install. The heat output is very warm 2 settings low and high heats my 20x12 room (240 sq ft) within 15 minutes on high. 3 fire light settings and 3 overhead light settings (pictured).
