I read a lot of others reviews , some good and some bad. I decided to go a head buy one and glad I did. I don't have steam coming out the sides of the oven door and the product was in excellent shape when delivered. Cooks awesome and very easy to use. I love the variations of cooking. So far though I have used baking mostly. Every thing I have baked so far has come out moist and perfectly cooked. I even baked some lobster tail and it was perfect! The media could not be loaded. My 5+ year Cuisinart finally stopped working or more like certain functions like bake and airfry stopped. I wasn’t too mad that it did because I wanted an excuse to buy a new one with the fancy LED lights and other functions without spending over $200. I tried another #1 rated Amazon smart air fryer toaster oven first but I had to return it due to how LOUD it was. I read tons of reviews here on Amazon and this Valcucina fit the bill. It is large enough to hold a lot of food but compact enough for my counter. Love that it’s brushed stainless steel, it’s sleek and modern looking, love all the functions and the price. I have roasted a 3-lb+ chicken in this thing twice with ample room for an even bigger one. I also use it to dehydrate chicken breast for my dog’s jerky treat. Just note it takes at least 5 hours at 170 for a perfect doggie jerky, flipping the meat halfway. Just last night, I baked a batch of TikTok high protein bagels and they came out perfectly!👌🏾 It’s definitely a learning curve going from my old air fryer/toaster oven to this but once you get the hang of it, you’ll learn to appreciate it’s versatility. We use this thing everyday and it’s a must for every household I think. I really just wanted to give this 4.5 stars but a half a ⭐️ isn’t an option. I’m deducting half a ⭐️ because the wattage isn’t as high as my old one and therefore takes a bit more for it to heat up resulting in a bit longer cook time. This VAL CUCINA Retro Style Infrared Heating Air Fryer Toaster Oven was purchased to replace a DeLonghi toaster oven. We use our toaster oven a lot compared to other people - we brown sausages & hot dogs, re-heat left-over pizza, etc., so our unit gets a good workout during the week. We were not able to find a comparable DeLonghi oven to suit our needs, so decided to try this Val Cucina unit, a brand we were unfamiliar with. The Val Cucina Toaster Oven is also an air fryer. To be honest, we had an air fryer in the past, didn't like it, and after half dozen uses, we donated it in nearly new condition to Goodwill. That had been our experience with air frying until the Val Cucina. The Val Cucina unit does an excellent job in air frying french fries & tater tots, fried chicken & such, as well as re-heating left-overs the next day that you want crispy, not soggy. The unit comes with three "racks": a typical wire rack, a broiler type pan rack, and a wire-mesh air fryer basket. All three slide in and out easily and are easy to clean by hand or in a dishwasher. The unit has a variety of cook settings: Air Fry, Toast, Bake, Broil, Roast, Pizza, Reheat, Warm, Slow Cook and Dehygrate. There are two good size knobs on the right - Select & Function. The Function knob selects the cook settings. The Select knob is used to set temperature & time. The four buttons control Temp/Time (and C/F); Start/Pause/Off; Light On/Off; and Convection On/Off. The LED display is large & very easy to read. When you open the door, the cooking pauses, and automatically restarts upon closing the door - a very nice feature! We've had the unit now for a few weeks, and use it daily; thus far, it works just fine. The quality of materials seems to be very good. The cream finish on our unit is beautiful and works well with our kitchen. The unit is packaged very well by the manufacturer for the rigors of shipping, and arrived safe and sound. The printed manual that comes with it is written in English and very good in explaining all of the features of the unit. Overall, we are extremely happy with the Val Cucina oven and recommend it highly! ... show more

Pros: Super Cute Functionality is perfect Seems like it will be easy to clean Cons: Back, sides and especially the front gets very hot. After I followed instructions and ran the oven for 20 min at 400 the handle of the oven door was extremely hot. The button to turn off was also hot. The entire front of the oven was just super hot! Be careful with little kiddos around. Power cord in the back would be much better if placed at the bottom of the oven vs the top. The back of the oven gets soooo hot I worry about it melting the cord if it touches - so I have to always finagle it so it keeps away from the back. Bummer. Instructions says it needs its own dedicated circuit. This was not stated in the amazon description. I haven't had any issues and hope I do not! Lastly, I purchased this for $250 and on the day it arrived the price dropped to $169. So. Annoyed. I called Amazon and they said I should return the oven and purchase a new one at the discounted rate. They do not price match. I mean, I get it if it's been like a month or so but literally on the day it arrived the price dropped. Amazon should really honor price matching if it happens within a week or so of purchase. Just my thoughts. Other than that, I love this oven - it's super cute, fits well into my kitchen. I ordered the cream one - another reviewer stated she was dissapointed there are scortch marks on the front from heat escaping. I will be sure to update in the future.... ... show more
