I read a lot of strange reviews about this air fryer. I decided to try it anyway. I've had it since the end of November (little over 3 months) and I am very happy with my purchase. I use the bake feature to reheat foods wrapped in aluminum foil, I've done pork roasts on the rotisserie, and I've used the air fryer for chicken breasts and steak. It's all turned out great! When I did the pork roast on the spit, I did feel I needed to cook it a bit longer wrapped up in the oven because I like meat that falls apart and I had a rub on it with sugar in the rub. Boneless skinless chicken breasts are nice and juicy and not dry when done in the air fryer. I do suggest getting a meat thermometer so you don't overcook it. I do homemade chicken nuggets in it and I even cooked some small meat loaves in it. It also does wonderful chicken wings from frozen. The trays are a decent size and you can fit a good bit of food in it. The drip tray in the bottom is nice so cleanup is pretty quick and easy. Some people complained about the door coming off. The door does easily remove by pulling up on it and wiggling it for cleaning. I have had the door misalign if I pull on it the wrong way but it easily slips right back into place. I'd rather have it removable so I can clean it. I did purchase some small silicone mats to lay on the door when I pull the trays out and turn the food so you don't get drips all over the door. I really like the light feature too so you can check your food without opening the door. I feel like it was well worth the money I spent on it and so far am happy with it's convenience and the speed that it cooks and reheats food. I did have a 3 quart round air fryer with a basket before this and I'm glad I upgraded. The other one (the basket one) was my first air fryer that I had about 3 years and this is my 2nd.     • Finally found an Air Fryer to keep! Update at end.

Being a fan of anything Instant Pot, decided to try Instant Vortex Pro 9-in-1 Air Fryer, 10 Quart, Air Fry, Roast, Toast, Broil, Bake, Reheat, Dehydrate, Proof & Rotisserie. I have had air fryers before and sent them back or resold because I didn't like how clunky they are for only doing one thing. So far the Instant Vortex has proven to me that I will be keeping this to enjoy for a long time. After performing the first step as stated in the manual, there was an odd smell. I will go into that towards the end of this review. The first thing I air fried was basically another test. I cut a potato in 4 thick slices and placed them on the frying tray. I didn't place any oil or anything on them. Once they crisped and turned brown I took them out and actually loved the taste! Next I made Southern Air Fried Chicken. I used 4 boneless thighs. These were done in 25 minutes and were very moist and good. Now, you must realize that the taste is not going to be like chicken fried in oil, but that is exactly the point. You get crispy moist chicken without all that fat! The Instant Vortex looks good on the counter, works very well, and cleaned up quickly and easily. What a huge plus that the trays cleaned so easily from the mess I made! Now for the bad. My son bought one of these and had no smell when he used it. Not the case for me. When I did the first test for 20 minutes my house filled up with this bleachy chemical smell that made our eyes water. We opened every door and window and turned on an exhaust fan. It was really awful. Off to the garage it went where I put it through three more tests. Then I placed a bowl of vinegar with some lemon slices in it and ran it twice. Finally the smell was only faint, so it came back in the house for use. When cooking my chicken the smell was barely detectable, so I feel confident again. After having a few air fryers, this one is a keeper. On the plus side you can do so much more than only air fry. A great addition for my husband and I. UPDATE: I was wrong about the smell going away, it's still there and awful! I reached out to the company and they sent a replacement. So far I have ran it 3 times in the garage and it still emits a strong smell. It will stay in garage where I will run it daily and hope that smell goes away. What I don't understand is some people have this issue and some don't. At least I know I am not the only one. I am not giving up on this item because I love the way it cooks food. ... show more

I've been using this air fryer for everything, and I couldn't be happier! Toast, bagels, bacon, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, tater tots, fries, fish, New York strip, ribeyes, pork chops, chicken thighs and breasts, potatoes, asparagus, bell peppers... But I have to say, one of the stand-out features of this air fryer is the rotisserie. It works great! I've now done two whole chickens and dear Lord, they were delicious! This is one of the best kitchen appliances I've ever purchased. I have cooked 4 New York strips at the same time, two massive ribeyes, and 6 big chicken thighs. There is plenty of room to make a meal and because everything cooks so fast it's easy to make side dishes and a main. It's also amazing for reheating leftovers like pizza, burgers, fries, etc. I've been unable to come up with a single thing I don't like about it. It's easy to use, has a good amount of cooking space, and is super easy to clean. I purchased this one based on a recommendation from America's Test Kitchen, which has been very helpful when deciding on which kitchen items to purchase. They didn't disappoint, and I cannot recommend this air fryer enough! I love it! ... show more

We have loved this thing for the past 2.5 years. We use it at least 2 times a day, it is great for everything from toast to roasted vegetables and more. Sadly it died suddenly after 2.5 years. Pros: it can do so much, easy to set timer, easy to clean tray. Cons: the door hinge is off set, beep is loud, screen wears out and is off set. ... show more

I have had this Air Fryer for 2 years now and it still works great! My niece and I use it almost every day. I will also say it is well constructed. How can I say this you might ask? Well I am something of a klutz and was moving it one day. I caught the power cord in a drawer handle, the Air Fryer flew out of my hands, straight up in the air, and landed upside down on the floor. It fell at least 5 feet and the only thing that broke was a piece of the handle. That was just under 2 years ago which is why I gave it 5 stars. ... show more
