Description

The heavy duty BSK2000 from US Stove Company is an all-inclusive kit containing everything needed to convert a 36- or 55-gallon steel drum into a portable camp stove. Kit contains legs, door, flue collar with damper and all mounting hardware. The steel drum barrel is not included. The BSK2000 is perfect for camp sites along with hunting and fishing situations. This kit is not EPA certified and is not designed for residential use.

Easy to install. All you need is a barrel, a drill and an angle grinder. I ended up just using mine outside so it rusted up pretty badly. The damper won't stay open on its own anymore but I always run it wide open anyway. This kit works to turn a barrel into a woodstove. There is no seal, but the door closes tight enough, you don't need one. It works quite well if you ask me, and I am glad I got one. I use it in my shop for heat, but I added a top plate to the 55 gallon drum, so I could cook on it too. It is worth the money, and is a good purchase.

I used the door assembly on a 1/4" plate of steel for my shop built stove I didn't use barrels the stove I also fabricated the door was perfect for my application and a good value.

Whoever approved the design of this kit needs their certifications revoked. Firstly “us stove company” is a lie, the kit is made in china (SHOCKER!) The mating surface of the legs to the barrel is cast flat. To mate to a curved surface!! Other than that, it puts out a lot of heat
