Top Amazon Reviews

  • Read this first if you think it's broken
Color: Red
Note: This review has a happy ending. Bought this treadmill as a surprise gift for my husband's birthday. It arrived 4 days ahead and I hid it in a closet until his birthday. I was super excited to give it to him and he was thrilled when he received it. He unpacked everything and maneuvered it to his office. Plugged it in, flipped the switch underneath to turn it on, the display lit up, he pressed start from the remote, everything did what it was supposed to do, but the treadmill wouldn't activate. Ok....start over. Still nothing. Grabbed the instruction manual and made sure the magnetic safety latch was closed (or as the manual says, "make sure it's on," which I believe is misleading.) Still...NOTHING. We repeated this process at least 12x, unplugging it, moving the cord to a new outlet, raising the handle bar, locking it, putting it down. Was he too heavy? No. Still no movement. I tried. Was I too heavy? NO (I'm 150lbs). No progress. On 2 occasions while standing on it, an "E02" error flashed briefly, but then went away. We thought, aha! We didn't add lubricant! So we grabbed the bottle, emptied 10mL into the little whole, then unplugged everything, switched it back on, pressed start, beep beep beep.....and again, NOTHING. We tried manually rolling the belt to see if it would start. Nope. After 90 minutes of this plus googling and watching videos (which weren't helpful -- this thing should be just plug and play), not only was I about ready to cry in disappointment (remember, this is a bday gift) but we decided that this treadmill was indee defective. I emailed Urevo.. then decided to call Amazon. They tried to provide "product support" but all they did was read off the trouble-shooting section in the manual. It was decided a replacement needed to be shipped and the only option was that it would take a week to arrive. (*Heavy sigh*) But as it turns out, as I was on chat with Amazon, my husband was lifting the treadmill to start putting it back in the box and he heard a faint "plink" coming from the underside. He turned over the treadmill completely and saw a bottom panel. He removed the panel with the screwdriver as his suspicion was that something might be loose in there. When he lifted the panel, he saw one thin red wire laying unattached to the motherboard. There was only one place where it could be plugged in, so he stuck it on and turned the treadmill back upright. That did it! Treadmill started right up just as it should and problem fixed! He easily replaced the panel on the back, moved the treadmill back to the desk area, and away he went....happy as can be! We suspect this wire just came unplugged during shipping. So the moral of the story is: If this treadmill stops working suddenly or never worked straight out of the box, you might want to check to see if all of the wires are attached by removing the underside panel. Not suggesting you do anything to void the 12 month warranty, of course, but this is the trick that worked for us and it was an easy fix. As for the review, I gave it 4 stars only because it was a hassle for 90 minutes trying to get it to work, plus he's only used it for about an hour this morning so not enough time to give it a long term assessment. It rolls easily but still a bit heavy. Love that the handles fold down for a smaller profile and it is the exact size for a 5'10" dude walking about 3mph. It is low noise (not whisper quiet but not too loud either) and it looks really modern and sleek. He prefers to walk on it with socks or slippers, not shoes. The one downside I see right now is that if you are someone that switches often between treadmill and sitting at your desk, then you're going to need a nearby, convenient spot to store this as you move it back and forth frequently (which might be a bother for some people). It also attracts dog hair quickly! It only lies flat so if you enjoy walking/running on an incline, you're not going to achieve that with this model. I don't know about the "safety magnet" either. If you have the handles raised and trip or fall, I don't think you'll be able to flick this little lever in time to get the belt to stop. But overall, pleased with it so far. This is the first home treadmill we've purchased and it fits under his desk perfectly. I foresee a lot of use outta this thing. PS. BTW, in case you're wondering, yes, I did cancel the replacement from Amazon. ... show more

  • Good for getting your 10,000 steps per day
Color: Blue
Quick stats: L~ 54", W~26", Weight~ 33 Lbs Pros: 1. Great for getting in my daily 10,00 steps at around 4 miles+ per hour speed without having to go to a local gym or outdoors during inclement weather. 2. Good for watching TV, listening to podcast or talking on phone while getting steps in. 3. Portable enough to tuck under my bed or lean (folded) against wall when not in use. Cons: 1. Rubber on treadmill belt rubs off on shoes, ended up tracking black rubber on carpet. Have to be mindful in removing shoes after a walking session. Or keep in hard floor location. 2. May be difficult to manuever for older people. I fold up and lean against wall to save space. I'm 60 YO and currently have no issues, but anticipate difficulty as I get older. May be easier if on a hard floor area. 3. Machine gets a bit shaky when at higher speeds (5 MPH+), not recommended if planning on jogging speeds approaching 6 MPH. Overall a good deal for a walker looking to get daily steps in while watching TV shows instead of sitting around watching TV. I consider it a decent purchase for walkers based on price and potability. ... show more

  • Doesn't need remote, grab bar is useful, easy to move
Color: Black
I have one of these stashed under my desk, so I can walk a few miles in the morning while I'm checking email and all of the things. Based on the various reviews of all the products, I arrived at this one because: * It has hard wired controls on the unit, so if the remote disappears, it can still be used. * It has a grab bar, and that's where the controls are. It isn't strictly necessary, especially once you get used to it, but that's also because I'm at a desk. * When I'm done with it, it's easy enough to stand it up and roll it up against the wall. I docked it a star because getting the alignment adjusted took a few miles. The instructions have it backward as far as getting the belt to slide it left or right, but they're not kidding that a quarter-turn at a time is more than enough. I also don't understand how someone designing it thought that having a plug dangling from it was a good idea. Super stupid design, but I was able to stash an adhesive tension clip to the under-inside to hold it. ... show more

  • So far, so good!
Color: Black
I read reviews for several under desk treadmills and opted for this one for my office at work (do not work from home). So far I am very happy with it after having it just over 2 weeks. I find I am able to walk and type on the 1.4 - 1.6 setting easily, and faster if I am just meeting & talking and not typing. I am not going for speed or distance, just going for movement instead of sitting all day. My typical weekday steps were less than 2K, but now I am typically hitting 10K+. Prior to purchasing the treadmill, I tried standing alone with the desk riser but found that I would end up sitting down most of the day anyway. This keeps me walking or standing as I have removed my chair from my desk area completely. If I need to sit, I undock my laptop and sit away from my desk, so I am less likely to do that now. I thought moving the treadmill back and forth between use would make me less likely to use it, so I am leaving it in position all the time. I am primarily using it with the bar down and controlling speed and off/on with the remote, but do like the bar and button controls also. Since many reviews for the treadmills I read (not just this one) had some individuals with bad experiences, I opted to get the Amazon Protection Service since it wasn't very expensive - rather have it and not need it in this case. I am pleased with the purchase, it was very simple to set up and would buy again based on my experience so far. ... show more
