    • Worked as promised and easy!
The instructions were VERY clear. It was very straight forward and very simple. A little confusing on the instructions for how to place the pen leveling thingies, but a little ingenuity and you figure it out. I was grateful the instructions showed how to get the manufacturer/cricut pen holder out. First time use - it was perfect. Second time, I didn't tighten it enough... so that's kind of "difficult" to know what's right? Too bad it's just not built to be super tight all the time... but conversely, that could wear out fast so this is a great alternate solution. I adapted a circuit writing pen. It said the pen was 0.5 diameter and this could only handle up to that, but I've seen it handle more. It came with 2 in the box? Was not expecting that. Also a nice surprise. Quality packaged, quality product. I wish more companies would learn from folks like this and make low-priced but high quality products - especially in the machine cutting industry. Now if we can just get Craverland to make better blade systems and laser tracking systems for the cricut - and better software, we'd be set! I highly recommend for anyone wanting to use different pens. Just FOLLOW the instructions - they are very good about keeping it clear for you. And, don't be afraid to tighten it... giggle it around, double check during your print (and pause if you need) to make sure it's not too loose. Run a few test prints if you can to get comfortable with the tightening levels because the instructions say not to over tighten, but you don't want to under tighten, either. Good luck! ... show more

I bought this to be able to use a thin gold pen on black envelopes for a murder mystery. I wanted to use a non-Cricut font that was not single line and it only worked with a fairly thin pen. I tested it with the Cricut pens but they were all too thick so I bought this and some inexpensive thin (.8mm) gold pens on Amazon. They turned out AMAZING!! It was so fast and easy to install and worked flawlessly the first time. I used it to make about 25 of these envelopes and every one turned out perfect!     • Perfect and very universal
This really changes the game. I can now use just about anything, markers, pens, even pencils. I'm am very pleased with this purchase. The worst part was removing the old housing pinching the bottom just wasn't quite easy but once I had it, no issues. You to have to use a tool to adjust it correct distance, but that's easy, and the give a spare it's small and will probably loose atleast one. ... show more

    • This adapter has great value and is versatile.
I have had no issues with this Craverland adaptor on my Cricut Maker. I have used it with Sharpie fine Sharpie ultra fine point, gel pens (Dollar Tree), Uniball gel gold (1.0mm), Faber Castell xs (0.1mm), Sakura Pigma Graphic 05, and Cricut 0.4 tip pens. All did well with the Cricut san font, 12.5 size. However, the Dollar Tree gel pen skipped, and the Sharpie Ultra fine and Uniball gel pens resulted in marginal clarity. Calibrating the pens are a minor step compared to the versatility of the adaptor. The calibration step can be reduced by placing a permanent mark or tape where the pen sits in the adaptor for each pen as you calibrate/use it. My only issue is removing the calibration tool. I'm using a tweezer since my fingers can't grab it. If I don't remove the calibration tool, it looks like the Cricut mat may push the calibration tool out the back side but I haven't tried it. You can be loyal to Cricut or expand your creativity using other pens with this Craveland adaptor. ... show more

    • Does what it says, but with a small catch
The undeniable does what it says. You can use all kinds of writing utensils with your cricut, I can even use Joy pens with my Maker now which is really nice because I have a lot of those from a bundle. Anyway So when setting up you slide the writing utensil into the adapter and use one of the provided little “plates” to insert to the proper depth and remove the plate before writing. Here comes the catch You start writing everything is fantastic but then you want to use a different color on the same project…. Only in order to use any pen with this adapter it needs “calibrated” to the right depth with that plate which is done against the machine not the mat with material already on it so you need to unload the mat re calibrate and start again except this throws all your lines off just enough that it ruins the image entirely. If your only using 1 single color per mat then this would work just fine for you but if your like me and want to really utilize the machine to it fullest potential this may now be for you. It’s for this reason I can o ly fice 3 stars because while other adapters utilize multiple different adapters for each brand, it’s a much easier process to use multiple colors on the same design which as I said is a must for me. These are going back back because they just don’t do what I need them to do and it’s a shame because they are well made and packaged nicely and very professional looking. ... show more
