It can accommodate material widths of up to 15 inches and lets you make precision cuts in vinyl, cardstock, fabric, and more. Conveniently stored in the machine's compact pull-out drawer is a new built in roll feeder for quickly cutting vinyl and heat transfer material directly from a roll. On the back of the Cameo 4 Plus you will find a built in cross cutter allowing for a clean straight edge cut on your vinyl

It is operated from a solenoid motor that gives makers smooth and intricate cuts. Cameo 4 Plus can cut or sketch up to 3x faster than previous models without sacrificing accuracy.
  • The Cameo 4 Plus carriage 2 boasts additional cutting force! With the increased downforce of the Cameo 4 Plus, we now offer a new rotary and Kraft blade (Sold separately) that have been specifically designed to operate with the Cameo smart tangential technology. With smart tangential technology the Cameo 4 Plus cuts thicker material without sacrificing quality with each cut. The Cameo 4 Plus offers true mat-less cutting which allows cutting cardstock, paper, and other materials without using a cutting mat.
  • The Silhouette AutoBlade has been reconfigured especially for the Cameo 4. This second generation AutoBlade will have a single-tap reset which will reduce the time needed for the Cameo 4 to automatically adjust the blade setting for your project.

I got this so I could cut stickers for my small business. I thought I'd follow a tutorial and be cutting in no time, and boy was I wrong! This thing takes some experimentation before you finally know which settings to use for your project. Also, fair warning: the bluetooth on these things does NOT work out of the box. You will have to get a dongle if you want to use bluetooth, but no worries, there are several reddit threads explaining what to look for.     • Love It Now, But Learning Curves Ahead!

Pros: The new autoblade in Cameo 4 Plus is fantastic. The higher speed is welcome. The increased cutting pressure is also welcome, but you may inadvertently ruin material getting used to it. Test cut first! The settings and tools in Silhouette Studio Business are worth the investment if you want to step out of the simplest editing and cutting. (Check Swing Design’s website for sales on gift cards and upgrades. I bought gift cards on sale, then used them to buy the upgrades on sale.) I like the wider cutting width, but it is NOT a full 15”, more like 14.5”. That’s not a huge amount, but if you’re cutting multiple small stickers or names, that’s a whole extra row! It took a while to get used to the Cameo 4, and now I like it, but I had to mess up a lot to get there. I cut through my included mat, for instance, because I had the depth set too deep. Cons: Carriage 2 is the extra-height carriage for cutting thicker materials. The description doesn’t make this clear. The cb09 blades and holder only fit in carriage 1, because the carriages and tools each have different shapes. The cb09 holder hangs low in carriage 1, so you lose the advantage of having a blade that cuts deeper. At the time of this review, there’s no adapter or blade holder that fits carriage 2. You can use Nicapa mats with this Cameo, but they are almost twice as thick as OEM Silhouette mats. I get much better results with OEM mats. Conclusion: The learning curve was so steep at first I was thinking I’d made a terrible mistake upgrading, but once I got the hang of this machine, I was happy. Having a higher speed and more pressure is GREAT. Take in the tutorials at Swing Design and on YouTube, and take the scraps you’ve been saving and sacrifice them in the pursuit of learning. ... show more

Realmente contento con este producto, ya tenía experiencia trabajando con ploters de corte de 1m y decidí independizarme y trabajar con material pop desde mi casa, pero la verdad que quede fascinado con está Cameo, el área de trabajo es ideal debido al espacio de trabajo con el que cuento, apenas llegó la instale y la probé, y desde el primer día ha trabajado perfecto, ya he realizado distintos proyecto y encargos y mis clientes encantados con el resultado, no he probado la función Bluetooth (la verdad no soy fanático de esas funciones, de hecho no uso esa modalidad para ninguna de mis impresoras o equipos de trabajo, confío más en los USB) pero estoy seguro de que debe funcionar perfecto igual, si tienen la oportunidad comprenla, la emprender un negocio desde casa o un espacio modesto es perfecta ... show more

    • UPDATED: Things are getting better

Purchased with the idea that it would assist me in making my handmade books. Cutting paper and cardstock are of paramount importance. So far ... 1. The bluetooth does not work. I did the trouble shooting and the drivers on my laptop are up to date. Trouble shooting recommends that I purchase a new bluetooth for my laptop. Don't think I will do this. 2. The machine does not cut anything. The pen attachment works fine but I don't really need this feature. I've tried to cut several types of materials from copier paper to normal scrapbooking paper. The best I get is a score mark. I have yet to be able to get it to cut through anything. Yes I've tried adjusting depth and force and number of times it cuts. Nothing but a score mark. Tomorrow my deep cut blade arrives and I will try this rather than the autoblade (which is a misnomer) that came with the machine. 3. The autoblade is supposed to adjust itself depending on the setting you choose in the software. It does not. It goes through the motions, I suppose that's what it is doing, but nothing changes. Perhaps this is why it doesn't cut. Don't know if the blade or the machine is at fault. Will try a new blade... I've saved the box... UPDATE: 1. The bluetooth still does not work and I have been informed by several user's groups that this is common. Better to stick with the USB cable. OK. I can live with that. 2. The autoblade is working. Turns out that somewhat more force is required to set the blade into the carrier than what I was comfortable with. Once the blade is properly inserted into the carrier, the thing works just find. 3. Software! Not intuitive and I've worked with "similar" software before. To be fair, I haven't yet plowed my way through the documentation but so far, the software gets a low pass from this one-time software development teacher. Pass because I can get it to do some of the things I want. Low pass because it took a bit of trial and error to make it happen. I'll be back when I've had more time to look through the documentation. I'm still keeping the box though not for returns but for potential repairs. ... show more
