Get what you pay for. Youre getting 2 trash cans for the price of one. The nice toter trash cans at Lowes/HD are way better quality, but much more expensive. Plastic is thin & very light weight. I see alot of reviews of them being sturdy.. i would disagree. They are sturdy of you put some trash in the bottom and weigh them down... if you dont unlatch the lid before pulling up, you can lift the whole teash can.. Tried these, after taking them to the curb one time it was obvious they were very cheaply mass produced and will not last long. I returned them. The company only refunded me around 10% of the price I paid for them. When I reached out to the company they basically told me it's my problem. They know the trash cans suck, they know the trash cans won't last long and you'll need to buy new ones again soon because of their low quality. They don't care. Go capitalism. These trash totes are made of this plastic. They are wobbly and easily blow over. But, they serve the purpose. I have no idea how long they'll last but I needed something cheap and practical. They work.

love, Love, LOVE these! Great shape and size, sturdy handles that I dont think even MY trash man can break, great un-loseable lids that fit well and are easy to get on and off. I like these so much I may go on using my old damaged ones (thanks to my trash service) and use these to move around and protect various items outside from the rain (....like all those Amazon packages I don't have time to open immediately, etc.!...or the stockpile of cat food I can now keep indoors or out, knowing critters can't get into it.) I might even (while they are clean, fresh and new) use them INDOORS as I move and store various things around the house while a major renovation proceeds.
