  • Excellent
Size: Large
Just received my order of this item and it exceeded all my expectations. Solid build with quality materials. Being a bigger person, I am not into Hobbit chairs, tents, gear, etc.. I like plenty of elbow room and substantial equipment. This grill/fire pit fits the bill. Fit and finish is excellent and is just a very well designed and made product. All this and everything Mr. Loosing said in his review. You cannot go wrong buying this. ... show more

  • Initial experience was bad with customer service but took care of the issue.
Size: Large
Bought the Grill package, grill seems sturdy but after 3 grillings, the charcoal bed got bent due to heat and it won’t fit the holes on the sides. Reached out to their support team, sending pictures since it is under warranty. But they said that the charcoal grate is not part of their grill and that’s why it doesn’t fit. Finally after few emails exchange they sent a part which was not correct but finally sent the entire grill which was not needed but wanted to thank UCO to make it right. ... show more

  • Great option for car camping
Size: Large
Packs up flat, stores easily, and is good quality. I have enjoyed this larger model. I also own the medium size version, and the larger is a better option for me. The larger size includes a small grate the securely attaches at the bottom of the grill, which greatly aids overall sturdiness. The medium model relies on the 1 piece grill top to provide additional sturdiness which makes adding wood a little tricky. I also prefer the having a 2 piece grill top on the larger model, which allows cooking and trouble free feeding of the fire. It also allows a little more room to have small cooking fire then slide the single grill top to the other side to reduce over cooking/burning. Of course using both grill tops gives you more surface if needed. I mostly tent or tarp camp in state or national forests without designated camp sites and these grill/fire pits are quick to set up and are quality built. I only wish UCO offered mesh spark arresting top. Hope this helps ... show more

  • Great portable firepit.
Size: Large
I’ve tried several portable fire pits and this is hands down the best yet. Folds small and stowable in RV compartment and is large enough to have a decent campfire. Highly recommend.

  • Amazing portable grill /fire pit with a great carry bag
Size: Large
This is a phenomenally well built portable camping grill and fire pit that is made from stainless steel and folds completely flat so that you can place it inside the included well built carrying case and slide it into any nook and cranny in the back of your vehicle. Alternatively, if you have a small space and you were looking for a charcoal BBQ grill and a portable fire pit that folds very compact and can be folded up into a nice looking and clean carrying bag and placed inside a closet out of the way where space is at a premium, then this is the perfect choice. ... show more

  • Very Useful
Size: Large
Thhere is a trade-off with this grill/fire pit--it needs to be lightweight so it is more portable but being lightweight can make it feel a little less sturdy when set up. As a grill, it works out great. We've used it a couple of times outdoors to cook hamburgers and hotdogs and it worked very well without any issues at all--5 stars for that. Where it seemed a little less sturdy was when we used it as a firepit because some of our firewood seemed a little heavy for it. It didn't tip over or anything--it held up well and burned the wood fine--but I was a little uneasy about it. Overall though, it worked great for both purposes and since it folds up neatly and is on the lightweight side (not light, though if you have to carry it for any distance) so it was easy to take with us. I should note that I wrapped newspaper around it, obviously after it was cooled and the ashes wiped out, in order to take it with us so that any remaining ash didn't get on other stuff. I really liked the grill overall because of its flexibility and because after cooking, we could start adding firewood and have a nice campfire in the evening. ... show more

  • Puts together fast!
Size: Large
The first time I tried to put it together it took me a while to figure it out. The directions were basically useless. But once I got it figured out the whole thing felt pretty sturdy. The second time I put it together it took less than a minute. The hardest part about the whole thing is the long rack that goes down inside the unit. That part took me the longest to figure out and it is the hardest piece to disassemble. But I'm sure that will get easier as I get more used to it. I am concerned that the instructions list a ten pound weight limit. A wood fire plus a pot of water can max out the weight. Let alone grilling anything else. I am also concerned about how challenging it might be to add wood to the fire while cooking. Thankfully, the top grates are not critical to the overall structural integrity. So I can either lift one side when necessary or leave one side off regularly. I suppose I could even put a grate in the middle if I wanted. The clearance above the ground is less than 6 inches. I will update my review when I find out how the metal holds up over time with heat and weight. ... show more

  • I have a few concerns involving “portability “
Size: Large
The media could not be loaded. This was almost straight forward, the instructions did a fairly good job explaining everything except this one odd piece that goes on the grill. Overall, it holds a decent amount and seems solid when properly put together. My issue comes with the portability of it all, I don’t see this bag, the grill itself, or myself staying clean when attempting to break this grill down and placing it into a bag. Only shines once, after that, I’m struggling with a greasy, dirty sheets of stainless steel (but I’ve come to peace with that). I just won’t see this as something for a quick pickup and run; the bag makes for convenience when needing to move around, but it the price comes with the smell of whatever on you, in your bag on all in your vehicle. ... show more
