  • FINALLY FOUND IT!
Style: Mini (9 X 6.75-inch)
Are you ready for this? Cooked one russet baked potatoe, wrapped in tinfoil, plus one bulb of garlic, wrapped in tinfoil, plus two chicken thighs (indirect) all at the same time...with ease on my mini. Made my lid out of tinfoil 7 by 9 container. Used a wood dowel off an old little wok lid. Note: Used three tinfoil containers pushed together to give the lid some body. It took ten coals. Had the potato and garlic on for a half hour, then on went the chicken. Half hour later everything was done perfectly. Should have taken a pic of the food. By the way, I think I could have gotten away with eight coals. My probe was reading 400 degrees. I love this little thing. Definitely, going in my fire kit for camping. Looks like I finally found a homeboy that is small and works! Believe me, I have eight or nine different kinds of camping grills and stoves. I feel like a collector, or worse, a hoarder! What I’m trying to say is I have paid the dues with camping gear and I know when something fits right into the cut. I’m a solo truck camper type. This is perfect for me. I think my lid works great. Punctured a hole with my probe into the side of the lid. It’s hard to keep it under 400 degrees with the lid on. But, that’s ok. My chicken was over the indirect side so It didn’t burn it. Check THIS out: Put a russet potato naked on the indirect side. Covered with lid and 45 min later a perfect baked potatoes with CRISPY SKIN! Just the way I like them. I’m experimenting, like closing off the holes on the charcoal side to keep the heat down. I cut a piece of chicken wire to form a little V, then wrapped it in tinfoil that fits up against the charcoal side holes wall. It worked to separate it down the middle for indirect cooking. You can also just pile the coals up on one side and not go through the hassle of making a tinfoil V separation barrier. It’s not a smoker. I’m not that adventurous, but for grilling like you do on a Weber, this grill can do it all in a mini version. Having much fun wiring this little jewel. ... show more

  • Better than expected
Style: Regular (13 X 10-inch)
I bought it for dispersed car camping, I took it on a trip, not camping but I tried it out just to see how much heat it would put out exclusively as a fire pit. There was snow in the ground, we lit it and watch the sunset until it was dark, it kept us pretty warm. I'll be ordering a second one, one for grilling another one for warmth, once we finish cooking we'll have two fire pits. Very impressed. Edited Can't say enough about this amazing fire pit, so far I've only used it as a fire pit saves wood, keeps you very warm, I have 2 and I'm about to order a 3rd for my second home because this keeps me warmer than the chimenea when I want to be outside star gazing. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I'm not affiliated with the company in any shape or form, I'm just super impressed with the product. ... show more

  • Great Mini Firepit/Grill for Travelling
Style: Mini (9 X 6.75-inch)
The media could not be loaded. Works exceptionally well. Very little heat downward. Still don't want to touch the bottom of the grill or legs right near the grill. This is a great alternative to gas campfires in a can. I am using it as a "firepit" on camping outings where I don't want to deal with purchasing wood bundles and trying to get them going. I use Duraflane starter logs. They take about 15 minutes to fully engulf and burn in here for about an hour. I throw some twigs in for a little wood smoke effect. This grill packs down very small and can easily be carried in a backpack or purse. It does come with its own carry sack that appears to be a canvas material. I could see where it would be great for half a small bag of the "light the bag and briquettes all-in-one" BBQ coals. ... show more

  • Highly recommended by a teardrop camper!
Style: Regular (13 X 10-inch)
I bought the large for teardrop camping use. Fired it up last weekend on a camping trip to a NF campground. The site’s fire pit was an enormous bin so this little guy was just right for my early morning & before bedtime warmup/entertainment. I did not attempt to cook on it but did heat up wash water on the grill. Very stable, no concerns at all with a 4 at pot on top of it. I love that it comes with it’s own little storage bag - totally compact storage - perfect for teardrop camping where space is at a premium! My 3 hr fire logs fit perfectly inside, however they sit down flush with the bottom of the pit. Fire logs really need to be slightly elevated in order to burn thoroughly. I tried a few river stones under each end - bad move! Mini explosions ensued! After some trial & error, I finally settled on wiggling a few smaller pieces of wood under the ends which seemed to work although required maintenance on my part. That really is a minor issue and more due to personal use vs functionality. ... show more

Style: Mini (9 X 6.75-inch)
WOW, this thing is great! Perfect size and weight for backpacking trips of any length. This is a test trial before committing it to my hike. It has passed with flying colors! You can get a sence of the size, that's a NY strip steak for those of you that did not know.

  • best little grill ever had
Style: Mini (9 X 6.75-inch)
I absolutely love this mini grill. It folds flat, slides back in canvas case and takes up no room in my camp kitchen. I am tent camper but plan on going fulltime for couple of years in a Class B. Just what I needed for limited space. I have cooked foil dinners, steak, burgers, chicken quarter with great results. 6 or 7 pieces of charcoal keeps it hot for several hours. The simple piece that lets you take the hot grate off has worked great. I have the mini size which is perfect for one. I have camped for 50 years and this is by far the best grill design I have seen and weights almost nothing. ... show more

  • Instant DuraFlame Campfire
Style: Regular (13 X 10-inch)
We are very excited about this amazing product!!! I plan to do a lot of motor homing in the near future and was looking for a small convenient way to have a campfire. I first purchased the Big Red Campfire in a can which ended up weighing almost 20 lbs!!! It was supposed to be a 5 lb item so I returned it and kept searching til I found this. It fits a 2 hour DuraFlame log perfectly. Now DuraFlame makes a "Roasting Log" that you can cook over!!! We will have more than $32 worth of enjoyment from this very ingenious invention from some Seattle company. There are directions in 6 different languages!!! That tells you something. I will try to do an up date with a foto of the campfire. ... show more
