I have this charger on my nightstand since I charge my phone every night. I was so excited to find this charger because I could combine 2 things on my nightstand and reduce some clutter! The frame is good quality - corners are tight and lined up, and visually it looks very nice. I have a Samsung S10 with a slim case, and it fits easily with room to spare. The charger is also not picky about where you place the phone. Whether it’s in the very center, or off to the side a bit, it will charge. This is a plus for me because before this I used a Samsung Fast Charger, and had to place the phone in the EXACT center for it to charge (quite often I would have to readjust the placement of the phone to get it just right). The only issue I have is that once you place the phone on the charger, a bright blue light on the back turns on. There are ventilation holes in the back that are arranged in a circle. So when you turn the lights off in the room, you have a bright blue light pattern on your wall that resembles sun rays. I covered the light with black electricians tape, but because the bulb is partially recessed, it still shines out of the ventilation holes. And I’m reluctant to cover too many of the ventilation holes and cause overheating. I also looked at opening the unit to cover the bulb on the inside. But the entire charging unit is factory sealed, and I don’t think it can be pried open without breaking it. The frustrating part is that the light is completely unnecessary. Phones flash an alert when they start wirelessly charging, so you know it’s working when the phone is placed on the charger. For those of us who want to use this in the bedroom, the charger is just one more device adding unwanted light that interferes with a healthy sleeping environment. This is the first wireless charger I have used and I love it. The easel design is useful… The upright position means I can still see the screen when it is charging. I’m barely using my bedside clock anymore because I can tap my phone to see the time. It charges really fast. I do have to be a little conscious of how I place the phone… I had it misaligned one night and didn’t charge. The phone is very secure on the base. The design is beautiful. I have the white base, and it looks so attractive with the clear acrylic. The charging speed is fast. The price for this frame is admittedly pretty steep for a charger, that is true. That being said, the frame works well, is aesthetically pleasing, and it saves you from needing to plug in your phone each night. I found that just the act of plugging and unplugging my phone damaged my cables quickly and I had to replace them more frequently than I would like. I figure if I go through a handful of cables a year, that probably comes out to cost just as much as this frame does over the lifetime of my phone. Admittedly, all Qi chargers remedy this situation because you're no longer jamming cables into your phone, but what I like about this charger is that it's also decor. At night, it's a charger and during the day, it's a photo frame. I'm a big fan of anything that does double duty and eliminates clutter by not leaving cables lying around. I see other reviewers struggle with getting their XS Maxes to fit in the frame, but I have no problem whatsoever. I have an XS Max in an otterbox case and it fits easily in the frame. I'm not sure if they're using a significantly larger case or what, but mine fits just fine ... show more

Since the 1st time I put my phone on it, the phone was overheated that I knew It couldn’t stick close to my face. It’s not the problem from the phone cause it’s fine charging with the wire.

This is my favorite wireless charger. It's high quality and simply works. Unlike the Mag-Safe charging stands for iPhone, you only need one hand to grab your phone off the charger. It's just a practical wireless charger for a nightstand or office desk.

Yes, the iPhone 12 Pro (not the larger one) fits just fine, with a slim silicone case on it. You do need to make sure it's centered. The phone itself is the only way to make sure it's charging (the light at upper right on the phone). I've ordered a few things from Twelve South (including a BookArc for Mac, years ago, that still serves me well). A quality company. This product is nice to look at, though a bit slower to charge than my other charger - looks good on my desktop. You can change the image/photo - it's easy to do. It's a very smart idea, just like everything 12 South does. I love how convenient it is. One thing I'd like to mention is when you see the product videos that 12 South shows on this product, the phone's screen stays on making a nice effect with the picture and frame in the background. What they're not showing you is that the phone's screen will stay on only for a few seconds, after that you're going to have a phone blocking that lovely picture you put so much effort in pairing with that screen photo background. Because of that I took one star. If you're looking at it from an aesthetic purpose, then don't get it. It will disappoint you. For a practical standpoint, it excels at that. ... show more
