I bought this around 5 months ago for a road trip with my 3 year old nephew. It worked great for that!! Totally recommend it, if you have kids in the car for extended periods! It kept my phone and his iPad charged up great. After I would just throw it in my purse or glove box and it would save me time and time again. Recently, I broke down on the side of a highway, in the middle of no where, with my phone barely charged. This battery pack not only got, and kept, my phone charged inorder for me to call and get picked up by a tow truck (3 hour ordeal), but it kept my phone charged up for the 2 nights I had to stay at a hotel without a wall charger. I didn't even have to try to conserve power, and I wouldn't have been able to because I had to be on call after call to get the situation straightened out. It does take a while for it to fully charge, because it is a big battery (two to three times as long as your phone would take). I usually just put it on to charge before I go to bed and by the time I wake up and check it, it's charged. I try not to over charge or over heat it, because that can damage it and lead to it not holding a charge. (I saw some reviews saying they charged it for days. Don't do that.) I am using this battery pack to salvage my iPad Pro 10.5 that has never worked well on its own battery. It provided only 3-4 hours runtime when it was new, so I replaced the internal battery ($160!) when runtime dropped to 1-2 hours. The replacement battery helped for a while, but after a year of light use it was only giving 2-3 hours. I tested use of a small external battery that gave me 4 hours and chose this one to get much more run time. I attached it to the case with loop and hook (Velcro) tape, and connected it with a short right angle lightning-USB cable. I've only used it for a few days but am very satisfied with the runtime. So far I've run the iPad on battery all day, with 4 hours of Youtube viewing, and still had 75% capacity remaining. I am sure this battery pack would work well for any USB charging situation, but the flat wide design was just what I needed to give my iPad another few years of heavy use. ... show more

I only just received this product today and based on other reviews, am hoping for a favorable outcome. However, from other reviews and what I could decipher from the instructions written in broken English, it should be “fully charged” before first usage. When I plugged it in immediately I noticed 4 of 4 leds lit. That means between 75% and 100%. Is it “Fully charged” ? Who knows? I gave it another 6hours to be sure, plugged in my “half charged” iPad to try it out…immediately the power bank read 3/4 bars. 75% or less!!! Based on other comments I’ve read, this takes a while to charge, but the instructions should indicate this. It’s now been nine hours that it’s been charging. I don’t mind, but how do I know if it is “Fully charged” as recommended? The instructions which aren’t really clear, don’t give understanding. (I hold a bachelors degree in engineering, so am not a complete idiot). Other reviews are favorable, and I will try again later. Am still hopeful that his will meet my needs (at this point a weekend a month in a cabin without electricity), but wanted to let folks (and hopefully the manufacturers) know of my concerns about the manuel. ... show more

This portable charger has been a lifesaver for this single mom living the sports life with two boys. Not only do we have many phone and devices that constantly need charging, but it has been necessary to help provide battery to phone and iPad when streaming live sports games from outside or in a gym without readily available outlets. I'm not going to lie to you, person who I've never met before, I honestly didn't think this thing was going to work that well. My wife asked me to pick it up for our trip outside the country, and I was just skeptical. These things never seem to hold as much charge as they say, they never seem to charge your device fast enough, and not knowing the name brand before, I was just... not expecting much. Dude, I was wrong! This thing held way more charge than I'd expected, to the tune of barely having to recharge it while we were on the trip! And the, the fact that it didn't just charge her phone quickly (it always seems to go fast), but ramped up my daughter's old ass iPad really quickly too - that thing never seems to charge well unless it's on an outlet. Great little power bank. It charges a pretty good speed, and it's not too big and bulky. I got it for our family trips to Disney in the parks. I will say make sure you use a good cord to charge the bank at night. If you don't, it will take forever.
