I installed the 38mm carb on a 2005 125sx and it started up first kick. I think I’ll end up changing the main jet to a larger one. But it’s definitely a good carb and rideable as is. Just needs some fine tuning.

Say what you will knock off or not this carb is excellent. Don’t expect to throw it on and go it needs to be tuned to your bike if you can tune it it’s awesome. I put this on my 2001 cr250r I bought a #8 slide and a necw needle with correct jetting bike is an animal

had some issues but it freaking works... lol for real! I'm going to try the mikuni next round to see which is a better value. snug the metering block down check for air leaks migraine and clean out the casting material by putting in a tumbler/vibrator with plastic pellets then buy gas cause you'll be on the throttle non stop it woke my crumby little cg250 up and my trb7 will hit over 80+ gps with no milling to the head and just port work as follows, 38mm intake side port and exhaust 34mm. idles pulls strong and then opens an lets the little beast wake up around 7000rpm. and zings to the moon so quietly and the engine isn't all vibrating like with the vm26 or pz30 running a 40 pilot and 125 main jet 13.5 a/f wot 16.8 idle close enough for me close enough good job guys float level was in place like it should emphasize deburr or you will be plagued with issues ... show more

Worth pointing out that this carburetor is not a real Keihin since the real ones go for 200+. However upon closer inspection these are decent carburetors. But this particular one does not fit my bike, a 1997 Yamaha yz125. The outlet side of the carburetor is to big for the intake boot.

Works well. Needed proper jetting and needle to work with my RM250 and needed float level adjustment, but that is a speed bump for a tuner, not a roadblock. Most the negative reviews are going to be little stuff that anybody with an ounce of smarts can iron out.

Product is bigger than original carburetor making it near impossible to fit into the air box boot, and when I finally dealt with that problem the carburetor doesn’t even work. Don’t waste your time or money on Chinese garbage.

    • Jetted for a tiny motor
Size: 38MM
This item is listed as having a DEH needle but it has an AJM which was determined through measuring as the needles are not stamped. An AJM is very rich at WOT and extremely lean 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. Might run on a chain saw/scooter. I purchased a DEH needle (about $12 + shipping) and that wouldn't run on a CR125R, CCJ closer to right with a 190 main. Keep in mind that this is a clone of the popular carb it resembles. The metal is very soft. The 6mm head on the cable retainer inside the slide rounds off easily, be gentle with it. The area where the main jet is installed will crush. This is hard to avoid as the jet must be tightened sufficiently to keep it from backing out. This slowly changes the jet depth in the bowl. Mine was missing the throttle cable retainer inside the slide. Seller didn't respond to message sent through product support when looking for missing part to be sent and making complaint regarding the mis-jetting. Can you get it to work? Yes. But plan to buy needles. ... show more
