I have probably boughten over 6-8 hoses in the past 3 years. Each hose has NEVER lasted more than a year. I honestly have had to throw in the garbage 3 hoses so far this year. These are the hoses that supposedly never kink and have multi-level layered protection around them. Well, they do kink which I found to be challenging when trying to remove the kinks only adding more kinks. The kinks also caused reduction with the water pressure. And as far as the protective layers, we’ll history has proven to be totally false!! From the positive reviews I read, I thought I would try out the Metal Garden Hose which I ordered from Amazon knowing I could return it within 30 days if I wasn’t satisfied. What I found, this steel hose: 1). Comes with a 2 year warranty; 2). Appears to be very protective. Because of the flexible smooth outer covering. It just slides up onto any object in it’s way as well as sliding easily on the ground; 3). No reduction at all in water pressure even when standing on the hose; 4). It really does not kink. It also makes it easy to wind up the hose manually, again due to the flexible smooth outer layering: 5). After turning off the water, it takes about 5 seconds for the water to drain from the hose. This was actually hard to believe; 6). And finally the hose is fairly light weight. Because I was so impressed with the hose I ordered another one last week after my 3rd hose had a water spout coming from the middle of my 1 year old hose. My neighbor was so impressed with the hose, he ordered one as well. I hope this honest review adds to the others who have boughten the hose as well. ... show more

We've only had this hose a few weeks but I'm so pleased with, it I have already recommended it to several neighbors. It is so much easier to use than our old plastic hose and reel set up. I keep it hanging on a hose hanger. I carry the coiled hose out to the lawn and lay it out before I turn on the water. It glides easily across lawn, pavers or bark and I never have to yank on it to get kinks out BECAUSE IT TRULY IS KINK-PROOF. When I'm done, I turn off the water, open the nozzle to drain the hose, drag most of the hose in the vicinity of the faucet and then easily loop it on the hanger. The hose is pretty light weight and very supple when not pressurized. The hose is identical to what you'd have on a quality hand held shower sprayer. It seems well made. It comes with a sleeve that protects the faucet end from being bent at too sharp an angle. I'm not sure how that would work with a hose reel, but in my opinion you don't need one with this hose because it is so easy to coil. The nozzle is plastic, but works surprisingly well. The one tradeoff with this hose is water flow volume. A traditional 5/8" hose will put out noticeably more gallons per minute than this smaller diameter hose. If you are filling a pool, putting out a brush fire or running a pressure washer you might want to keep your old hose around. For watering flower pots or the vegetable garden or car washing, this should provide adequate flow. I'm impressed that this hose comes with a 2 year warranty. That speaks volumes when a company is prepared to stand behind their product like that. I would recommend this for any gardener or homeowner, especially for old fogies like me who struggle with heavy traditional hoses. ... show more

My story begins with…I had purchased a different hose which advertised being 100 feet in length, but when I opened it and spread it out, I was lucky if it was 25 feet long. So I returned it and hunted for something that had good reviews and was actually 100 feet long. This product fit the bill. I use it for my garden and have had no issues after 2 months of using it daily. I have a hose roller so when I am finished, I roll it up in a covered storage box. Like: Very flexible surprisingly and doesn't become knotted/entangled. The spray nozzle isn't dollar-store quality, but it is average. If you already have a spray gun you will probably switch it to yours or maybe you will find the one it came with is good enough. I think it is good enough for what I do (wash my dogs) as it allows different spray functions and doesn't feel fragile. Dislike: It has some weight, but its quality stainless steel so I can't really find anything else to complain other than since mine is 100 ft it is not easy to wrap it up standing old school style. Update on my review. I love this metal garden hose. I had originally thought it was going to be a little heavy, but after using it, it isn't. It goes around corners with no effort, is quiet to use, water pressure is good, and I'm even able to reach those areas past my 100' with the sprayer that's included. The sprayer provides a great variety of options which is great for heavier jobs to watering my delicate flowers. Additionally, I've used it to clean off bricks on our building, wash debris away, clean the cement, and other things as well. It attached to the water spigot with no leaking. It's secure and very sturdy. It wraps around my holder so easily and is just as slick as can be. It also looks great! I have thrown out the old rubber hose. I would definitely purchase this again and highly recommend it. Very happy with the product. I also purchased the very reasonable extended 2 year warranty just in case. ... show more

I can't believe how wonderful this hose is! I was skeptical when I ordered it, but having lost 2 other, more expensive, hoses to people's trimmers/mowers, I was looking for a less expensive solution. I spend most of my free time gardening, so having good hoses is very important to me. What I love about this hose: - Lightweight and extremely easy to move around. I was a little worried that it would be heavy, but it's super lightweight. - I no longer spend 15 minutes trying to put my hose away correctly. It just curls up with very little effort. - It takes up far less space than my other 100' hoses. Much easier to hide away. - It stays cool in the hot sun! Even when it has been sitting all day in 100 degree scorching heat. - Doesn't leak/drip at the fittings. I can't attest yet to the durability as I have only had it about a month, but I think I will be able to use it for years. CAUTION: Make sure you don't ever step on it!
