  • Well made & solid board
Style: Blue Penguin
This is a really nice inflatable SUP board. It is a Great looking iSUP. I love the sea penguin graphic - it is sharp and clear. This board offers great stability for beginners with three nice size detachable skags. It is 10'6"' long and 33" wide and 6" thick which is standard for iSUPs in this price range and a great size for a comfy stable ride even with a passenger. It handles great - very stable and easy to move and turn. I am 5'4" 150lbs, hubby is 6' 200lbs and it held both of us just fine - stable & easy maintain balance. Hubby can even paddle easily with me on the board too - which is fun. It is super easy to tow our kids around on this board. The vinyl it is made out of is thick and supple, easy to roll and does not get stiff corners that may wear out while it is stored. It is really compact when rolled up and pretty lightweight compared to other boards we have had. I really like the graphics and bright colors of this board - easy to spot when out on the water. It comes with a two piece lightweight aluminum paddle that is very light with a plastic paddle head which I really like because I don't have to worry about using it to push of rocks and the shore like with my fiberglass one. The deck on the board covers 75% and is a very cushy smooth mat with a light pattern for traction. I really like that the mat is mostly smooth - doesn't give me weird impressions on my skin when I lay out on the board (not a big deal but I really appreciated this feature). There is a nice large size bungee set on the bow which is able to secure a bunch of stuff - I generally have a small cooler, life vest, 20L dry pack, fins and 32oz water bottle for day lake trips and it all stays put. It has D-rings on the bow & stern of the board which is super handy for hauling it around, for attaching another board to tow & attaching an anchor line. We inflated it to the recommended 15psi and it was solid and steady and held air for 4 days. It took 8min to fill up this board. I have multiple electric SUP pumps & I highly suggest the investment. I hate manual pumps because by the time I'm done pumping the board my arms are worn out and my paddle isn't as enjoyable. Deflating the board was easy and it rolled up neatly and fit into the really nice quality carry bag. The kit included a cinch strap which was handy to get it rolled up tight and small. The bag is a backpack style that fits the board and all the gear with room for my electric pump, large towel and life vest in the main compartment. We got this board for our kids (10 & 12 yo girls) and like it for them - It is a bit long for them but it steers well and responds quickly to direction changes and is very stable. It is pretty lightweight and compact when rolled up which is great for hauling it around. In the iSUP world the price range is huge and they all are different in little ways. I feel that this board is well priced for it's quality, durability and the features it has. I am an experienced SUPer and we have tired over 15 different types of inflatable SUP boards (iSUP) in our family of 4. Continually rotating out the best boards for our trip. We also have two fiberglass boards that we use for open ocean paddling. The only CON iSUPs have is that they are not good for open ocean - they are too lightweight to control well and you'll get blown around by the wind. We live by the beach in So Cal and do a lot of traveling to lakes in CA, OR, WA, NV & AZ. We love iSUPs for their portability, lightness and durability vs. our fiberglass boards. I actually prefer my iSUP vs. my fiberglass because it is more stable, lighter, more comfortable for long paddles and I don't have to worry about my kids (11 & 9yo) getting hurt on them or banging into boats or each other. They are great in a marina or enclosed bay but not really for open ocean or rough/windy conditions. If you are going to use your board a lot (more than 1x a month) it is totally worth it to invest in a electric SUP pump. This one I got on amazon & it is a self powered battery, car or house powered. It blows up 2 boards on one charge making it possible to go to remote lakes/shorelines and have a fun paddle with out the hard work of pumping the board. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091SG13MF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ... show more

  • Nice board
Style: Orange/Blue Diamond
This is our first SUP purchase. We decided to try an inflatable as we don’t have a way to transport or store a regular one. The plastic pump that came with it was fine although it took quite a while for it to register the PSI when we were inflating the board and I’m not sure it was accurate. The paddle was easy to assemble and adjust, and the plastic fins were also easy to attach and lock into place. The carrying case that came with it is roomy enough to easily store the board, pump and paddle. The set also came with two small pieces of patch material which we hopefully will not have to use. The instruction manual said it was supposed to come with a dry bag, but there wasn’t one in our box. We’ve used it twice so far and it’s lightweight but sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. ... show more

  • My First Paddle Board, Impressed with Quality
Style: Dark Blue Penguin
The media could not be loaded. So I've grown up on the water, and love everything about it. I've kayaked most of my life, but noticed the popularity of paddle boards has exploded recently, so I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about. I was looking for a great entry-level paddle board that wouldn't break the bank, when I got the opportunity to trial this Tuxedo Sailor inflatable paddle board, I jumped at the opportunity. The first thing I did when unboxing was check to see how well it all fit in the carrying case. The case is ample large for the paddleboard and all of the required accessories (paddle, fins, pump, hose, etc). At first I thought the carrying case was too large, but then I thought about what else you would carry if you really were backpacking it somewhere (like a life vest, dry bag, etc), so it's probably the right size. I unrolled the inflatable paddle board, connected the bike pump and hose, and started pumping it up. It took me between 5-10 minutes to get the board inflated in the recommended range of 12-15psi. At 13 psi I felt like it was firm enough, and stopped there. I then installed the fins on the bottom with no issues. I then took the paddle board down to the saltwater creek at high tide and tried my luck on the board. It was definitely a challenge with the balance my first time on the board, and I managed to keep from falling over. I adjusted the paddle length a bit until I got it comfortable for me, and after a few minutes I was going up and down the creek with ease. The EVA foam padding on the top provides a good gripping surface for your feet (bare or with shoes). I'm about 225lbs and 6'-1" tall and getting my balance was interesting. I felt like the board did provide enough buoyancy for my weight, and the width of the board seemed to work with my center of mass. I found it much easier to make sharp turns by reversing rather than trying to force forward from one side. The fins definitely kept the board going in a mostly straight direction. I let my mom try it out as well and she was able to get the hang of it fairly quickly. Since I liked how compact and travel-ready this paddle board is, I also started brainstorming how I could have this double as a type of kayak. I sat on the board and used one of my kayak paddles and found it very easy to maneuver. I liked this so much that I plan to order some additional D-ring eyelets and glue them on this paddle board so that I can attach a kayak seat for some back support (this looks like it will be an inexpensive modification). After this initial use, I rinsed the board off and let it dry, the next day I checked it and it hadn't lost any pressure, so I feel confident that it is constructed well. It also packed back in the bag just as easy as it did before I inflated it. So far, I'm very pleased with my first paddle board, and can't wait to load this up on my upcoming trip to central Florida (to the springs I go). ... show more

  • Basic SUP but worthwhile
Style: Orange/Blue Diamond
I got this stand-up paddleboard to add to our ‘fleet’ of three other SUPs. It seems that we always had too many people waiting too long for their turn with just three. This paddleboard is the same length, but two inches wider, than our older paddleboards, but the same as our other more recent acquisition. It’s pretty basic: one handle in the middle, two D-rings – one fore and one aft – and one bungee hold-down area. The only extra feature, if it’s significant, is three fins instead of one. Of course, it comes with an ankle leash, paddle, manual pump, some repair patches, and a valve wrench. Oh, and a fairly nice carry pack. The price at the time of this review is $200. That’s about what we paid for our first two boards, but despite inflation, I would expect the prices to have come down some. So I would say that the price is OK. ... show more
